Love Boat: Eva Longoria's Relationship With Eduardo Cruz Heats Up

After quietly dating Spanish singer Eduardo Cruz for several months, Eva Longoria is making no secret of her attraction to actress Penelope Cruz's little brother. Photographers caught the couple in a passionate embrace Sunday night during a Super Bowl party aboard a yacht in Miami Beach.

"Eva and Eduardo were staying with her close friends on South Beach who hosted a party on their boat so the group could watch the Super Bowl on TV," one onlooker tells PopEater. "Eva and Eduardo were kissing and cuddling and looked very romantic."

Although Longoria split from her NBA star husband, Tony Parker, several months ago -- their divorce was final in late January -- she seemed unhappy and withdrawn until Cruz was spotted at her Los Angeles home in December.

"During the past few weeks, Eva seems to have come alive again," a close friend tells PopEater. "She is usually fun, flirty and a blast to be around. That side of her came back after a few months of distress over rumors of Tony cheating."

Late last year, Longoria learned of her husband's "sexting" relationship with mutual friend Erin Barry, who was divorcing Brent Barry, Parker's San Antonio Spurs teammate. Although both Barry and Parker denied having an affair, neither addressed the significance of the many text messages between them.

Both Longoria and Parker filed divorce papers in November. Other than a lunch together in Los Angeles where they were photographed talking, the couple spent the Christmas holidays apart.

Although reps for Longoria have denied she is any more than a friend to Cruz, the actress was seen with the Spanish singer as early as October while leaving her Los Angeles restaurant Beso. Then, he was spotted outside her home on Christmas Eve.

Less than two weeks ago, they were dining and watching the flamenco Sir Sultry Quartet perform at Hollywood cabaret Cafe Was. A diner told PEOPLE that Longoria and Cruz were "flirty" and "holding hands."

"They still like to enter and exit public places separately," says the source. "But they appear to be very happy and natural when they are together."

People in Hollywood are no different than the rest of society. I worked in the biz for ages and it's just the people who make news that give a distorted view. And statistically the highest rate of marriage and divorce in the US is actually in the Bible Belt.
