Julia Roberts is still the fairest of them all. The actress, who is already Hollywood royalty, is confirmed to play the Evil Queen in the upcoming film 'The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,' according to Entertainment Weekly. The Relativity Media-backed fairy tale is reported to start shooting in April, with producer Brett Ratner attached to the project as well.
"Julia was our first and only choice to play the Queen," said producer and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh about the casting decision. Roberts was rumored to be up for the role earlier this month.
"She is an icon," Kavanaugh continued. "We know that she will make this role her own in a way that no one else could."

To answer the question in the article: Charlize Theron will make the better "Evil Queen." And, even though I did like "Sleeping With the Enemy," I too am puzzled at why so many think Julia Roberts is "beautiful" and/or "Hollywood Royalty." In my humble opinion, she's neither. In every one of her roles, I can think at least 2 or 3 other actresses who could have done a far better job! She seems likeable and personable; that alone probably helps her procure most of her roles.

The best Snow White was a Fairie Tale Theater with Elizabeth McGovern as Snow White and Vanessa Redgrave as the Evil Witch.

Charlize - Look how she transformed for Monster. She has the acting chops to give it her all. Ooooh can't wait to hear CT utter the famous line, "Mirror mirror..."
What's happening to Hollywood? Hillary Duff and Kevin Zegers doing a remake of "Bonnie and Clyde?" Snookie getting a book deal plus her own spinof? Hope she sinks faster than Rhoda after marrying Joe in the 1st season.

My vote with the choices offered is with Charleze, she can do "ugly" so well. but what about Cloris Leachman????? She is age appropriate & so very versitle & talented. what about The Meryl??? She is still so beautiful in an older way, her looks aare & have always been timeless, the wicked Queen is supposed to be beautiful, what a role for to play, she is the master, a modern day Katherine Hepbern! Julia Roberts is SO WRONG for this role; that's whats wrong with the movies nowadays, wrong casting for the wrong reasons. Kristen Stewart would be a great choice, but we understand why she couldn't take on the role as being priorly obligated, why not an unknown, or maybe Dakota oir Elle Fanning, they could pull it off. Viggo Mortenson is a wonderful casting for the huntsman

I love Julia Roberts and look forward to seeing her show her dark side. As far as giving younger actresses a chance... they get plenty !
