Jaime Pressly's 2011 has gotten off to a rough start. In January and February alone, the 33-year-old actress was arrested for suspicion of driving drunk, filed for divorce, entered into a nasty custody battle over her 3-year-old son and happens to owe more than $600,000 in tax liens to good old Uncle Sam.

In an interview with Extra, the 'My Name is Earl' star wanted to clear the record for the sake of her son, Dezi. "I have no problem saying that I'm responsible for my own actions," she says. "I'm also human and never claimed to be perfect."

Although she tries not to read the gossip written about her, it always gets back to her anyway. What she finds most upsetting is when people question her ability to be a proper parent. "When I hear the statements made that are so ridiculously unkind and untrue, it breaks my heart," she says tearfully. "It's really hurtful on so many levels that I can't even explain it." She claims she's breaking her silence about her recent personal troubles because she doesn't ever want Dezi "to grow up and read all these false statements."

"We fell in love quickly. We got married very quickly," she says of her failed, 16-month marriage to Simran Singh. "It didn't work out the way we wanted it to. There's nothing more to it." The actress adds that people think her divorce is happening because of her DUI incident Jan. 5, but says, "Truth is: these are all isolated incidences."

"I've watched so many people make mistakes, and never wanted to be that person," Pressly says. "I've been in the business for 16, 17 years. And I've been very good." Check out the interview clip after the break.
