Who's the Boss? Al Gore Gives Keith O 'The Talk'

It's only been a couple days since Keith Olbermann
announced he's the new chief news officer at Al Gore's cable channel Current Media, and already I'm hearing rumblings from within the struggling network that the ex-MSNBC'er has been told to chain up his considerable ego at the door.
"No doubt Al is very happy to have Keith join his network," one Current TV insider tells me. "Yet Keith is a double-edged sword. He'll attract a huge amount of media and viewers to the network, but let's be honest, he's a total pain in the ass to deal with."
I'm hearing the former VP has already given Keith the old 'Hey, you do know I'm the boss, right?' speech.
Keith's new role will be producing and hosting a new nightly prime-time news and opinion show at Current that insiders tell me will be very similar in tone to his defunct 'Countdown' show. Keith will also have equity in Current Media that could be very lucrative if he manages to attract the number of viewers he assumes he will.
"In a world where there are fewer and fewer opportunities to hear truly distinct, unfettered voices on television, we are delighted to provide Olbermann with the independent platform and freedom that Current can and does uniquely offer," read Al's statement.
Let's hope things work out better than they did at MSNBC!

Low rank me all you want, but Keith O - politics aside - is one good looking guy!

Good luck with that Gore. That basketball head of his just barely holds his ego.
I have never heard of Current tv. Must be an east coast thing.

Ed That makes you lucky If you never hear him you will be a better person
We have'nt either on the East coast. Al must be helping the environment by saving on energy and broadcasting only to his friends the 50 rooms in his mansion. While all the lights and heat are on in every room. LOL
"I'm hearing"... hearing from whom, Rob? Those voices inside your head again? Nothing like trying to make yourself seem important by fabricating tales about people who are worlds more talented -- and popular -- than you. Ugh, what a pathetic way to make a living.

Both Olbermann and Gore are A-type personalities....pricks in other words...this will fail just like MSNBC and thankfully so.

A type personalities is an odd way to say egotistical perpetual losers.
You mean "A-Hole" types?
Can't wait for Keith's new show to start. Ch 358, Directv.

LOL!!!! I just looked at 358 since I have Direct tv. Looks like it is trying to be an MTV. The description says "shows young adults what's going on in their world". I don't see Keith as a draw for "young adults".
Why is Al Gore can support something like this talk show and not support anything of any good such as true American art such as tru American music in blues, R&B, or somehting, went to a rally one time in FL for Al and he had some awful sounding noise Known as rap and punk junk playing, tht is not music at all.

Why aren't you buying flu shots for children?
Just like Gore's money, your money is your own, to spend on the issues you believe are important.
This is an accident waiting to happen.
Two of the biggest windbags in politics.
Wait till the snow melts.......you'll see what's really underneath.

I love it. Olberman hasn't even unpacked his bag and he has had to have the talk with his boss. It's the same as his show. He went from talking about the news to making himself part of it. His ego is and always will be the reason he can't last anywhere, unless he is the supreme overlord. I give this situation(even working fore an idiot like Al Gore) 18 months. After that Olberman will get what he has always wanted, a show of his own where he can do and say whatever he wants. As a talking head on local access.

This is going to end badly.

Two abject failures with big egos getting together. What could possibly go wrong?

It's nice to know that another "Air America" will be broadcasting K.O.'s hate and disgust of people who don't think like he does. Poor Al.

I am actually hoping that Olbermann's new show works out the same way his MSNBC show did. That is what you get when you spread so much hate.
