Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn Are Not Dating

It's time to put the Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn romance rumors to rest. E! News reached out to Scarlett's rep, who confirmed that the two are nothing more than friends.

"Scarlett and Sean are not dating -- they have been friends for years," her rep says. "Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett's upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam's Global Ambassador."

Sean, who is 24 years older than Scarlett, is still committed to his work rebuilding Haiti, even a year after the tragic earthquake. He'll undoubtedly be a knowledgeable resource for the soon-to-be divorcee on her upcoming trip to the Caribbean island nation.

The 'Milk' actor can also give some sound advice to Scarlett about going through a divorce. Sean finalized his divorce to Robin Wright this past January and reportedly "got taken for one-half of everything."

Despite rumors that Scarlett and Ryan Reynolds were getting back together, the two are legally separated and working toward a divorce settlement. Sources say Scarlett has been devastated by Ryan's budding romance with Sandra Bullock.

I thought that odd as well, the "taken" part. He didn't make that much more than she did over the years. Now if she got half of his and all of her own, that would be "taken" but if they split the pot that they both through into, that isn't "taken".
