Elizabeth Taylor, 78, is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering symptoms from congestive heart failure earlier this week.Taylor's publicist says, "Her family and close friends are appreciative of the warm support and interest of her loyal fans but have asked that people respect her privacy and allow her medical team the time and space to focus on restoring her back to health."
The style icon underwent surgery for her heart condition in 2009, and she frequently updated her fans via Twitter about her condition. So far, the two-time Academy Award winner hasn't posted anything about her current trip to the hospital.
"The (health) issue is being addressed," her publicist's statement continues. "She is currently being kept in the hospital for monitoring."

Elizabeth Taylor: Physically beautiful, talented in her craft, but not, and I repeat, not a lady. Not one bone in her body can called be called a lady.

It take 2 to tango.
Cliche but true.
I love to see these Divas get old, shrivel up and die. No one gets out alive.

You are one of the last of the great beauties, Miss Taylor. I have loved your movies since the 50's and have never seen a brunette as beautiful as you. A very speedy recovery to you - they don't make them like you any more.

Dame Elizabeth is one of the most important actresses of our time. The face by which all faces are measured , breathtakingly beautiful and by far infinitly more talented than any current Hollywood "personalities" .I say that beacause they are not stars . Ms taylor is truly the last star , not one can hold a candle to her . I wish her a speedy recovery, peace and clam in her life. No one is more loved , he tireless work fighing AIDS is a legend, singlehandedly raising more that 84 million dollars to fight this dread disease . You are the best we love you.

I have to agree with you Johnny. She is and was a most beautiful person. From National Velvet, to A Streetcar Named Desire and beyond, Elisabeth Taylor has exhibited all that we as a viewing public have required as a phenomenal star. She was and is still beautiful, inside and out. Here is wishing more people could be like her as to give away so much of her earnings to AIDS research when there was no way she had or has AIDs. God Bless you Miss Elisabeth. You are very much loved.
Sandy: Was Elizabeth Taylor is the stage version of 'A Strettcar Named Desire? She certainly wasn't in the film. You may be confusing her with the British actress, Vivien Leigh, from 'Gone With The Wind,' a film that David O. Selznick hand-picked Tylor for - but, of course, it never happened and Vivien became an international star, like Liz.
I have your Jewelry book on my coffee table. It gives me joy to look at it and all the beautiful gems and designs. It is one of my favorite books as you are also one of my favorite all time actresses. Thanks for all the beautify you have brought on screen and in real life....carolyn

Dear Elizabeth,
May God be with you and your Doctors to get you well again. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen a picture of. I am so glad you are happy and you are really loved and respected by the ones who truly care about you. If you are like me ' Do you wonder where all the time has gone'. It is hard to get older when you look and feel good for so many years.I feel the same way myself. But then I have never been in your category
but am speaking for women in general. Prayers will be said for you and I wish you a speedy and good recovery. You are still young hang in there. BECKIE eVANS
