Elizabeth Taylor, 78, is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering symptoms from congestive heart failure earlier this week.Taylor's publicist says, "Her family and close friends are appreciative of the warm support and interest of her loyal fans but have asked that people respect her privacy and allow her medical team the time and space to focus on restoring her back to health."
The style icon underwent surgery for her heart condition in 2009, and she frequently updated her fans via Twitter about her condition. So far, the two-time Academy Award winner hasn't posted anything about her current trip to the hospital.
"The (health) issue is being addressed," her publicist's statement continues. "She is currently being kept in the hospital for monitoring."

Get well Liz. The naysayers like that idiot Stu are SOOO in the minority as far as you and the REAL stars of yesteryear are. I'm sure he has the hots for the likes of Lohan, Hilton and their ilk. YUCK. They aren't stars. They are yesterdays news and total trainwrecks. YOU and those of your era are the last of the true stars. John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable, Lauren Bacall, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn and so many many more who entertained us for decades. These no-talent punks today are just that..no-talent punks, drunks, drug addicts and total NOTHINGS. Oh I'm sure SOME of the "actors" of today are decent people, but the likes of Lohan and Hilton ruin it for them. You just concentrate on getting well. You are loved!

There are MANY books written about her and I believe a few written by her. Why don't you check things out BEFORE you write this stuff?

Elizabeth, you won't remember now, but we met outside of a hotel in Central Park in the mid-1960s. You were with Richard and two of your kids, just there waiting for a taxi. I worked with a book publisher, and was going in for an interview with an author. Both of us were early, and you and yours were open, sincere and ready to just chat about everyday things. I've never forgotten those moments. Think positively! A good chunk of this world loves you and all your skills.

She also isn't reading your message on Popeater, she's moments from death, you fool! Why are you babbling on about the one meeting some 50 years ago to a woman who is dying and wouldn't bother with Popeater even if she wasn't dying?
Dear Liz, I'm sorry to hear of your illness, I've watched many of your film's, and I really enjoyed everyone of them.I alway's thought that you were a beautiful& talented person. I will be praying for you. God Bless you.

She's ALWAYS on deaths door every couple of years...she's an irrelevant, over dramatic diva, always trying to get into the limelight some how, some way! No offense, but will she get it over with already and just take the dirt nap!? Sheesh!

Irrelevant? Elizabeth Taylor is an Icon. U R A fool, because we are all at death's door. Everyday. If U had sense you'd know that. Wishing speedy recovery 4 any1 ill is what U ought 2 do. Or just shut up if U can't. Dolt.
Hey R .... why not race her and get in the ground first, trust me nobody will care that your gone and this world will be a much better place without you in it.
Get ready you will meet you maker soon

I have never quite known what to think of Elizabeth Taylor. but in any case she has been one of the most interesting people of the last 60 years or so and somehow everyone sees her as a special person. She's never been just another actress. I recently watched "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf" again and while I have never thought much of the play, you can't deny that few actresses have ever worked so hard as she did in that film.

I remember reading that as children Ms. Taylor's brother called her "Lizard" ... the reason why she never liked to be called Liz...(but, hey, little brother sounds typical, have to tease sister)...
G-D bless you, and give you strength, and heal you, so that you can be home, and out of the hospital, once again. May you recovery quickly. YOU have been my very favorite movie star, of all time. You are the best actress ever, you are brilliant, generous, kind, and gorgeous, not to mention extremely intelligent.
I am praying for you, and I love you.
