Finally! Hear Lady Gaga's New Song 'Born This Way'

She's on the right track, baby!
After months of hype and teasing, Lady Gaga debuted her new single, 'Born This Way,' this morning. The track, written by Gaga and produced by DJ White Shadow, Gaga and Fernando Garibay, makes good use of the diva's big voice and penchant for drama, combining powerhouse vocals with in-your-face lyrics about race and sexuality. It also sounds an awful lot like Madonna's 'Express Yourself,' which is
causing a commotion on Twitter.
I wrote ['Born This Way'] in 10 f**king minutes," Gaga told
Vogue. "And it is a completely magical message song. And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception."
Listen:
The pop star will perform the song on Sunday at the Grammy Awards, where she is
nominated for six prizes, including Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Gaga has been hyping the track for months. She sent her fans into a frenzy in September at the MTV Video Music Awards by launching into an a cappella take on the song's chorus. In late January, she
leaked the lyrics to 'Born This Way' on Twitter, and soon thereafter announced that she was moving up the single's release date from Feb. 13 to Feb. 11,
tweeting, "Can't wait any longer."
"I think 'Born This Way' is the kind of record that if you are really paying attention you will get the full depth of Gaga as a songwriter," Akon, a frequent Gaga collaborator who signed the pop star to his Kon Live Distribution label in 2007, recently told
PopEater. "Sometimes, the creative image hides the element of her lyrical content. That's why she wanted to give people a better idea of what she was saying outside of her image when she dropped those lyrics."
Gaga's new album, also titled 'Born This Way,' drops on May 23.
So, are you loving 'Born this Way' as much as we are? Let us know in the comments.

Actually, it sounds more like a sped up version of TLC's Waterfalls....

What a Madonna wanna-be......she is really trying too hard now to be Madonna. She is so hideous too look at. She should just go away. That song is a total rip-off of Madonna's song.

A powerful song with a uplifting message. It's about time a true artist such as GA GA created a song of empowerment, hope and self-acceptance. Hopefully the youth/teens of this nation who are bullied daily for being different will hear the message this song conveys and choose to live their lives with pride, conviction and love.

She looks like a bucked-tooth lion - what's with the unflattering makeup?

Not born that way, became that way, turned that way, like, oh, let's see... vampires.

Very uplifting and upbeat! But I expected something more for some odd reason. Maybe if there were some powerful notes or harmonies....
Still, very nice song. Love the lyrics.

This does NOTHING for me. Tired chords, lousy vocals.

pre-programed electronic crap.

I hear a little bit of TLC's (pardon me, but I don't remember the actual title), "Don't go chasing waterfalls." Even so, catchy tune.

Nice song by Lady G although it does sound very similar to Madonna's "Express Yourself" of long ago. Both are very talented ladies and I expect Lady G will be entertaining us for quite some time. Like Madonna, Lady G has a style unique unto herself.

Oh yeah, oh yeah! I can dance to this! Love it!

Hmmm.. This isn't what I expected. I mean, I was really excited and I feel like "Born This Way" is just so..(dare I say?)..boring. Maybe it'll grow on me..

Heavy Madonna influence...every artist is a rip-off of the previous generation...20-30 yrs from now, whoever's the flavor of the month will be accused of ripping Lady GaGa off...Say accusations made when 1950's artist began to re-hash songs of the 1920's....they just increase the tempo and used guitars instead of horns.....

It sounds pretty close. Almost all pop today sounds pretty much the same. Her best song to dATE (speechless) sounds like David Bowie's "Time" (listen for the chorus of that song to see what I mean). All music borrows from one another, so we cut her a little break, I suppose.

She should change her name to lady Ka-Ka as in do-do. . .

It's pop music. It all sounds the same. There are maybe a dozen songs this immediately reminds me of, including "You Dropped a Bomb On Me" by the Gap Band and "I Feel for You" by Chaka Khan.

Yes I too started thinking of Madonna’s Express Yourself after I heard Born This Way. However I would say that it is a sound inspired by an artist and song that is ingrained in our pop culture. It is still uniquely Lady Gaga and will burn up the dance floors all along the club scene and lift some spirits at the same time!
