Finally! Hear Lady Gaga's New Song 'Born This Way'

She's on the right track, baby!
After months of hype and teasing, Lady Gaga debuted her new single, 'Born This Way,' this morning. The track, written by Gaga and produced by DJ White Shadow, Gaga and Fernando Garibay, makes good use of the diva's big voice and penchant for drama, combining powerhouse vocals with in-your-face lyrics about race and sexuality. It also sounds an awful lot like Madonna's 'Express Yourself,' which is
causing a commotion on Twitter.
I wrote ['Born This Way'] in 10 f**king minutes," Gaga told
Vogue. "And it is a completely magical message song. And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception."
Listen:
The pop star will perform the song on Sunday at the Grammy Awards, where she is
nominated for six prizes, including Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Gaga has been hyping the track for months. She sent her fans into a frenzy in September at the MTV Video Music Awards by launching into an a cappella take on the song's chorus. In late January, she
leaked the lyrics to 'Born This Way' on Twitter, and soon thereafter announced that she was moving up the single's release date from Feb. 13 to Feb. 11,
tweeting, "Can't wait any longer."
"I think 'Born This Way' is the kind of record that if you are really paying attention you will get the full depth of Gaga as a songwriter," Akon, a frequent Gaga collaborator who signed the pop star to his Kon Live Distribution label in 2007, recently told
PopEater. "Sometimes, the creative image hides the element of her lyrical content. That's why she wanted to give people a better idea of what she was saying outside of her image when she dropped those lyrics."
Gaga's new album, also titled 'Born This Way,' drops on May 23.
So, are you loving 'Born this Way' as much as we are? Let us know in the comments.

Nothing special about this song! Sound all the same!

Not all songs have to be deep and depressing and "original" (is anything really ORIGINAL these days?). Some music is meant to be light and fun... an energetic beat that gets you tapping your foot, or bouncing in your car. Even if it does sound like Madonna, imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Wow this is almost as bad as Willow Smith's insult to taste.

like i said....she needs to be more original in her music as much as she is in her outfits! hmmmm....sounds like i might be a hater huh?
is it just me...or is it the same tune just different words? Hmmmmm......Madonna has good reason to be upset! Gaga needs to be more original in her music...not just her outfits!

I cannot even imagine how many times I have heard "Express Yourself" by Madonna since it was released. It was a favorite at the clubs and a personal one to this day. "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga is pretty good. It does have a late 80's early 90's sound but it certainly doesn't sound anything like
one of Madonna's hits. If some people don't agree, what's the big deal? It's not like Madonna came our of the box 100% original. I still love her style and music.
Peace,
A Gaga & Madonna fan

It does not sound like Madonna's "Express Yourself" unless that's whay you want it to sound like. GaGa is totally original. There's a difference between being influenced by an earlier style and plainly copying it. Just because one or two stanzas of her song reminds you of Express Yourself doesn't mean she plagiarized it. Heck, if you're going to accuse her of that, how about this: I think part of her song sounds like TLC's "Waterfalls." Listen to it again--you'll see what I mean.
As far as this single goes however, it's far from being one of her best.

To "Love ur haters":
Get a grip. She's a POSER and not at all ORIGINAL.I can listen to most of her songs, but this is totally ridiculous! And guess what?? I'm not jealous -- who would be a about Lady Bla Bla-Ferret face???? And this does sound a bit like "Waterfalls", too so how is this a good song? The only thing she's got is this weird sense to create new costumes (huh??) to promote herself.
