Lindsay Lohan Tweets Her Support for Egypt, Prays for Peace

Lindsay Lohan might have a lot going on in her own uproarious personal life, but the 24-year-old starlet is still keeping up with current affairs!

Friday afternoon Lilo took to her Twitter page to express some well-wishes for everyone in Egypt. "Congratulations to the people of Egypt," she wrote. "Your voices were heard and you proved that peaceful demonstrations are possible and effective..."

The 'Mean Girls' star added, "And I pray Egypt maintains it's treaty with Israel and sets the trend for its neighbors to create peace with Israel and the entire region."

Many in the Twitterverse were quick to jump on the starlet, who was charged with felony grand theft Wednesday in court. "Are we sure that Lindsay Lohan knows where Egypt is?" @itookawalk wrote. @Brankalicious added that "Lindsay Lohan (or her PR people) just posted an insightful tweet re: Egypt. I'm stunned. Bartender!!"

Countless others speculated that Lindsay's PR team was tweeting for her, and the actress was mocked her ability to grasp anything involving the state of foreign affairs.

But I give the girl credit for acknowledging that bigger things are going on in the world than her courtroom drama! She's not pretending to be an expert or making any grand, polarizing statements. Who are we to criticize someone for expressing concern and positive thoughts for a troubled nation?

Like Egypt, Lindsay is free... for now. She better keep up that positive energy. She'll surely need it at her next court appearance Feb. 23.

This is a very beautiful talented woman who has a very bad addiction she needs help but no one can reach her this is a very bad problem in this country and no politician wants to talk about how the doctors are giving scripts to the public like they are candy just be thankful it doesnt affect someone in your family cause it is a lot of heartache . Do you really think she wants to live that life?

Lindsay is no dummy. She did very well in science and mathematics in school. I'm sure she knows where Egypt is located on a map. I don't approve of some of her personal choices but I don't pretend that I know her personally. I guess some of you are close friends with her. Uh..huh...yeah, right.

I heard Lindsay was so happy for the people over there that to honor them, she got wasted at a strip club, was pulled over by the police on the way home, and did the "Walk like an Egyptian" dance as her field sobriety test!!

I doubt this imbecile could even find Egypt on a map. Instead of wishing the Egyptians well, she would do better by tending to business closer to home--you know, no driving drunk, no getting drunk, no cocaine, no walking out of a store with more than you had when you went in... unless you, oh, I don't know, PAID FOR IT. She needs someone close to her to tell her that she is not helping her cause. I'm afraid this dumb bell is doomed.

Lindsay Lohan was very good in mathematics and science in high school. She was homeschooled after the 11th grade. In other words, she is very intelligent. Were you good at math and science?? I have my doubts.

As Lindsey Lohan was writing her heartfelt tweets for Egypt and peace, I hope she was thinking about her own life. Not to sound trite, but peace begins and has its roots at home, meaning with each one of our actions. Stealing is not just stealing; it is a disturbance of and robbing of the peace. When one steals, in essence, they are declaring war on someone else, no matter how small the item stolen. One just has to look at the arguments brought about by simple stealing and then move up food chain to see how stealing land has caused so many bloody wars. So, Ms. Lohan, while you are spending your time tweeting about Egypt, consider how your actions are not very peaceful and how it's your responsibility to change those actions to add to the peace in this world.
