Beliebers React to Best New Artist Loss on Twitter

While many were simply wondering "
Esperanza who?" when the jazz singer won the Best New Artist award at last night's Grammys,
Justin Bieber fans were nothing short of outraged. And they took to their favorite Internet megaphone to vent their Bieber frustration.
Bieber nation blew up Twitter as soon as Esperanza Spalding's name was announced instead of the Biebs' (or even, gasp,
Drake), running the gamut of emotions (in 140 characters or less, of course) from anger and sadness to downright cattiness at the unsuspecting Spalding. Others took it a step further,
attacking Spalding's Wikipedia page and teaching her that Bieber Fever has many of the same symptoms as Sore Loser.
Many fans simply expressed their concern for their beloved pop star, no doubt hoping to curry favor from him and possibly even get his attention.
Others wisely warned of the fallout from angry Bieber fans.
Some just vented their utter rage at the snub.
But the resounding theme seemed to be ensuring that Spalding couldn't bask in the glory of her win. Bieber fans directed the majority of their ire at the 26-year-old jazz singer, seemingly unaware that members of the Recording Academy picked the winner. No wild conspiracy here.
We hope Spalding is ignoring the Internet today and instead, celebrating her victory. Meanwhile, Bieber
admitted his disappointment, but said he was "happy for her also." Clearly his fans don't share the sentiment.

For all of you tone-deaf losers that couldn't identify talent if your life depended on it let me help you - Esperanza has more talent in her hair folicles than that 16 year old dweeb has in his whole body! Did you not hear him last night? His so-called "voice" makes my ears bleed. Get a life and learn something about music.

Esperanza Spalding is very talented and deserved it. I'm sick of these mainstream, spoiled brats getting upset when something doesn't go their way.

It would have been an injustice if Justin Bieber had won a Grammy, just as it was when out-of-tune Taylor Swift won. I'm thankful the Academy finally voted for someone who actually can sing.

bet he cried like a little Baby Baby Baby

Justin who?

an injustice it would have been allright... Same with the overrated Taylor swift... last year when she tried to hard rock it up and was humping the stage floor, screaming out of tune... didn't anyone tell her she is not very good? they should sing a duo...
they deserve each other. The Bieb won nothing, Taylor swift wasn't even mentioned a year later the whole night... what a great evening...
Esperanza deserved this win, no one can take that away from her.... she has the talent...

Ms. Spalding was the obvious winner. She has more talent than all the rest of the nominees put together. Which one of them can perform without all the theatrics, lights, dancing, backup dancers, etc. and still sound like they have talent -- not a one of them other than Ms. Spalding. Justin Bieber is an entertainer, not a singer and not a musician. Big difference! When people get so crazy of some girly looking boy, its a sad world we live in.

Seriously, the kid deserved to win over Esperanza. It shows you how out of touch and jelous the members of the recording actually are.

He's getting on my nerves. Not winning is a reality check for Justin. I guess his head just became a little smaller !

Not only did Bieber lose to Esperanza Spaulding but he should have been beaten by Florence and the Machine. Both make Justin Bieber look like what he is, a kid. And he has little girls for the most part, buying his music. The award is not called the most 'Popular New Artist'. It is voted on by PROFESSIONALS, from The Recording Academy, not adolescents from 'Teen Beat'.

I would much rather my grand kids buy Justin's music, than some of these rappers that get arrested every week.
Justin is just a young boy, hes no threat to anyone.
How adults can sit, and trash a innocent boy is beyond me.
I used to worry about what my kids read, and wrote on here, but its not the kids, its the adults that have grown so bitter, and down right mean.

Yeah, at least some the rappers have an actual talent to rhyme words. A retarded kid with no tongue could make up the songs Bieber sings
To all the fans (young girls) who are jumping down Ms. Spalding's throat-get a life.

amazing....Justin's little minnions need to chill..most adults don't think the sun rises and falls in Justin, just the kiddies do..there's a lot of great music and artists around and this jazz singer deserved to win..can't say if I was a musician/singer, that I'd be pleased with how disrespectful these fans are

And just because McDonalds is one of the most recognized and iconic 'restaurants', has franchises all over the world, and rakes in billions of dollars does not mean they serve gourmet food worthy of an award.

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK time is running out Justin, soon you'll be a memory.

I would have been surprised if he won. The Grammys are suppose to be about music not a popularity contest.

JB is NOT a super talent. He is a cute, hard working 16 year old Canadian kid who has a few fake vocal tricks, and a few silly dance moves that are NOT enough on which to build a stellar career. Musical artists who pay their dues and have genuine, real talent are the deserving winners of such public awards. JB will soon be eclipsed by such junior singer/song writer talents as Cody Simpson, and chiefly Greyson Michael Chance.
