This Valentine's Day has a lot of us pondering the wonder and mystery of love. Fools that we are, we may even look to Hollywood for answers. But before you put your favorite star on a romantic pedestal, beware. Celebrity relationship expert Patrick Wanis has singled out a few he considers Tinseltown's "worst lovers." And he has a few choice words -- er, bits of advice -- he'd like to offer them.Kelsey Grammer's soon-to-be ex-wife Camille made the cut. Wanis considers the former Mrs. Frazier Crane a narcissist who just wants attention.
"She should spend the day with herself since Camille seems to only love herself," Wanis says. "A day alone on Valentine's Day might be just what Camille needs to learn that constantly being on TV isn't always in the best interests of your children, your marriage or your divorce settlement."
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star had the chance to garner support after her husband left her for a much younger (as in 29 years old younger) flight attendant he now intends to marry.
"She did obviously want sympathy, but the way she went about it turned people against her," Wanis tells PopEater.
But shouldn't the seemingly affable Kelsey be one of "Hollywood's worst lovers" too for his tendency to marry, have children, divorce, then remarry a younger model?
"He could definitely be part of the list," says Wanis, who calls himself a "celebrity life coach." "He seems to favor the younger girls, then say, 'OK, I'm done with them.' Once you have children, you have a responsibility. He's not fulfilling his responsibility."
Which brings us to another of Wanis' choices: Charlie Sheen, the perpetually hard-partying, drug-doing, heavy-drinking, escort-buying Hollywood bad boy, who happens to be 45 years old with four children by three different women. With a tendency to dabble in domestic violence. But what an actor, right?
"So much of the public loves Charlie Sheen because many men wish they were like him: no responsibility, all these girls, gambling and drugs, [the chance to] act like you're 17," Wanis tells us. "Unfortunately, the public is making such a big mistake. No. 1, he's got children. No. 2, he engages in domestic violence."
So what advice would he give the troubled 'Two and a Half Men' star this Feb. 14?
"Spend the day reflecting," Wanis suggests. "The bad boy doesn't realize that he's not an adolescent anymore and that he has a serious problem -- and it's not just the desire to party all night with escorts or porn actresses. Charlie has a problem with misogyny."
He says the troubled Sheen should "focus on love" this Valentine's Day, "forgiving himself and forgiving that one woman he is still angry at" -- whoever it is who is causing him to lash out "by assaulting a woman or trashing a hotel."
Speaking of assaulting women, it may come as no surprise that Mel Gibson also made the top five. And so did his other half, Oksana.
The bitterly fighting couple "should spend Valentine's Day apart," Wanis advises.
Another on again, off again duo he gave the "worst lovers" honors to? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. The life coach suggests they hang out together on the 14th -- but says they should stop being so plastic already.
"Heidi and Spencer staged a fake divorce last year in the hopes of raising some extra cash to splash after they blew $10 million on a lavish lifestyle and plastic surgery," says Wanis. "Unfortunately Heidi has been swallowed up by the Hollywood pit and unable to find her real self and real value."
Lastly, the former Mr. Sandra Bullock got a nod.
Jesse James' worry that he was the "most hated man in the world" after he repeatedly cheated on Bullock was an empty admission and "reflects a grandiose and overly inflated sense of self," Wanis scolds.
James should try doing charity work on Valentine's Day and think of someone else other than himself for a change, he says.
"Time to put other people first," says Wanis.
We might throw in Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Tiger Woods, Tom Cruise and maybe even David Arquette for good measure. But are there any "best lovers" to be found in Hollywood?
Wanis' picks are Matt and Lucy Damon, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Denzel and Pauletta Washington.
"I think they're great," he tells PopEater. "But I say, idolize the art, don't idolize the artist. You'll always be disappointed."
