Former Skater Tonya Harding Is Pregnant

Finally, some happy news for Tonya Harding. The former figure skater is expecting a baby with husband Joseph Price, according to PEOPLE.

"Tonya is pregnant and very happily married," Harding's attorney Linda Lewis said. "She wants her privacy, but she is very happy."

According to the Portland Tribune, the couple is expecting a baby boy at "any time."

Harding, 40, made headlines in 1994 when her ex-boyfriend and bodyguard hired a man to injure fellow figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. Her leg injury led to her withdraw from the national championship and sparked an international controversy.

After much drama regarding her knowledge of the plot, and her admittance to not coming forward when she found out about it, Harding pleaded guilty to hindering the prosecution. She was then banned from amateur skating and has since completed probation.

Harding opened up to PEOPLE in 2008 about life after the scandal and how she has coped with the negativity surrounding her.

"I'm a little bit redneck -- the fishing and four-wheeling. I have bonfires, I have friends over," she said, adding that she's come to terms with who she is. "You have to love yourself, and I finally do. It sounds harsh, but this is who I am. And if you don't like me, tough."

This will be the first child for Harding, who lives with her husband in southwest Washington.

I can only hope she has seen a shrink about her problems.
When a woman like this is going to have a child, its is scarey to me. I just hate to hear of someone like this is having a child. Some people shouldnt even be allowed to have a child, after they have done such a horrible thing.

Do you know how unintelligent you sound??? She didnt dismember 4 people after murdering them she made a mistake. And she has repented. Of course she should be allowed to have a baby and will probably be just fine.Maybe it is you who shouldnt have any children due to your inability to forgive. Sounds like the REAL monster is you !
