The controversial video for Rihanna's 'S&M' single has been banned in approximately 11 countries, and now the colorful, raunchy visuals are the target of a lawsuit from celebrity photographer David LaChapelle. In the lawsuit, which was made public on Monday, LaChapelle accuses Rihanna of ripping images from his popular photographs, which have appeared in publications such as Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair.
LaChapelle claims that "the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works," and has copied the "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting" of his popular work.
