Motley Crue's Vince Neil Begins Two Week Jail Sentence For DUI

The party's over for Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil, who turned himself into Nevada's Clark County Detention Center earlier today.

The rocker arrived at the correctional facility to begin serving a two-week sentence for DUI, TMZ reports. Neil was arrested while driving his Lamborghini near the Las Vegas strip in June 2010. Despite declaring his sobriety only a week before the incident, tests revealed that Neil's blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when he was taken into police custody.

Neil pled guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence in a Las Vegas court in January, admitting in a statement, "I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all."

The 2010 arrest wasn't the first time the 49-year-old singer found himself on the wrong side of the law: Neil was charged with vehicular manslaughter following drunken driving accident in 1984 that killed Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas Dingley and seriously injured the two passengers of the car Neil hit. Neil, who walked away uninjured, served 30 days in jail and paid $2.6 million to the accident's victims.

Ironically, only months before his 2010 arrest, the singer wrote in his memoir, 'Tattoos & Tequila: To Hell and Back With One of Rock's Most Notorious Frontmen,' "There's just a point in your life where you kind of stop, that's what happened with me ... There's other things in life than just drugs and alcohol."

Following his incarceration, Neil will spend 15 days under house arrest.

Killing someone while driving drunk is a life-altering event for normal people. He needs more than two weeks in jail for this second offence.

Vince neil is and always has been a looser!
The band rocked sure, put out some good stuff....o.k., but it was the biggest bubble gum metal band there was. In short "total and absolute sellout's!!!!
not graduating in maturity of genera's or able to play and appreciate differant styles of music, just plane SELL OUT's!!!

90% of all his vocal's were technology, he sucked live early on , he sucked live on the the shout at the devil tour and he sucked live at the Dr. feelgood tour.....in short, he played a part...that's it.
He's already killed the drummer of Hanio Rock's back in the day and yet again......drunk driving!

***You get caught red handed stealing in america and as long as you are either rich or someone special's kid, you get off. You get caught with cocain and extacy you get off, you kill another humam being driving drunk......you get off.
You get caught drinking and driving yet again after killing another human being and you get two week's of preferential treatment????
How's this......?
You get caught stealing, they cut off a finger, you get caught again, they cut off your hand-Period.
You killanother human being drinking and driving, no more licence to drive ever, not a car, not a truck, not a piece of heavy equipment, not even a forklift! never mind you are they families servent for as many year's as the age of the person you killed!
Adopt islamic shari law in america and just see how many thieves and drunk drivers we end up with shortly after one ot two get handed aa proper sentance?????

It's SHARIA law & if you like it move to an islamic country. I would rather be dead than live under sharia law or muslum religion. As far a Mr. Neil goes, he needs a few years without a license, a few years in jail and maybe that'll provide him with the time to reflect on his life and some much needed change...

Because he was only convicted of vehicular manslaughter, probably from a different state (not sure though) and it was over 25 years ago. Nothing wrong with that at all and hopefully he'll be driving within 2 months so you sorry azz people can whine some more. By the way, I like drinking and driving also and if I ever kill someone else, too bad for them they should of stayed out of my way. LOL

Some may say Robert is a bit harsh..Not even..This loser has been, was, is and always will be an alcoholic..He puts everyone at risk when he's on the road, he killed a 'friend' in Redondo Beach years ago doing the same, a DUI..I clearly remember him laughing while taken in to do 'time,' less than a couple months and was separated from the 'criminals'..Looking pretty old, Neil. Looking to do real time as you just don't get it. Two weeks for 3 times the limit? Stay 'home' with that beer belly, no talent, and rather horrid looking 'rock star.' Soon, if anyone remembers you or the band at all, they will remember losers trying to act bad..All in all, motely was bad, they s****d in all ways posssible. Loser times....? Lord, just don't kill anyone again, or permanently mame more..Does anyone remember 'back in the bad days' when his DUI in R.B. not only killed rattle, but also severely mamed a young couple driving home from Bible study? Permanently. Anyone? Gee Neil, had it not been for this alcoholic run, you're pretty much last on most people's brains..Wish you had one, and keep the hell off the road forever. Absolute loser!
