Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry Set Differences Aside for the Sake of Their Daughter

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's split has grown increasingly acrimonious in recent weeks, with accusations of abuse and neglect flying. But the former couple have temporarily set their differences aside for the sake of their 2-year-old daughter, Nahla.

Earlier this month, Berry's rep said of Aubry's parenting skills, "Halle has serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time," fueling an already nasty custody battle between the former flames.

However, according to a source for RadarOnline.com, "Gabriel and Halle even resumed talking again last week, and it seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up 'til now."

"Hopefully this is the start of the two of them being able to form some kind of workable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter."

Aubry and Berry, who broke up in 2010 after five years together, originally claimed the split was amicable, but things took a turn for the worse when the two began fighting for custody of their daughter.

Aubry, who filed a petition for official paternity of the tot in December, has reportedly accused Berry of being verbally abusive to him, as well as neglectful to Nahla, the same claims that the Oscar winner has made against him. Sources close to the actress have also alleged that the model hurled racial epithets at Berry.

While it seems that a friendship between the two is unlikely for now, Berry has reportedly declared a ceasefire and is attempting to do some damage control.

"Halle started realizing that things were getting out of control," says Radar's source. "It was just getting too nasty and public."

When two self-centered people get together and have a child -- the child usually ends up being used as the football and pawn. When are these kind of people ever going to learn??!! Now for the next 16 years the child will be a ping pong ball -- going back and forth......back and forth to mom's....then dad's place. No stability for the child -- no matter HOW much money they have or how many nannys they have to monitor the visitations and shuffle the child around.

Part black? Hmmmmmmmmm the baby suppose to be 3/4 white. Yet she looks 8/10 black. Perhaps Aubry should get a DNA test before he goes any further. If the black genes in Halle is so strong that a half white mother and an all white father would create an almost black child, then white folks are nearing destinction. Black men are slaying and impregnating white woman at warp speed and this will be the results. If I were you white people, I would be concerned.

As I do Gabriel............Halle isn't the only parent. They both had better get it together and work towards a more unified relationship for the sake of that child. There's no reason for these kids of broken homes to suffer just because Mommy and Daddy decided to quit playing house.....Halle and Gabriel need to get and keep their heads out of their as*es, as it's no longer just about the two of them, any more.......

What a shame having a child out of wedlock when you are a star of high magnitude and a male model who managed to get some fame by living with said star. Hollywood has sunk to very low levels morality wise and the children who are the product of this are the ones who suffer for it. Halle Berry can date if she wants because her childs fathers seems to be sleeping in a few other beds too. Both Halle and Gabriel should try and keep a lower profile of the bed jumping, but with the news hound and photographers it is a bit hard. That group should have their cameras and fingers broken....
