'Jersey Shore' Star Angelina Gets Engaged, Source Cries 'Publicity Stunt!'

Angelina Pivarnick engaged to David Kovacs

Former 'Jersey Shore' star Angelina Pivarnick had the surprise of her life when her boyfriend, David Kovacs, popped the question at STYLE360 Sachika's fashion show on Wednesday. Kovacs got down on one knee as he presented her with a platinum 2.5-carat ring. She said "yes," while it was all caught on film.

According to sources, Pivarnick's celebrity booker friend Johnny Donovan convinced Kovacs to put a ring on it.

"He wasn't going to propose this soon, but Donovan prodded him to do it while everyone was watching," a source close to Pivarnick tells PopEater. "Seems like a perfect publicity stunt to me."

Pivarnick isn't on the 'Jersey Shore' anymore, which leads many to believe she's filming a reality show featuring her upcoming nuptials.

The couple have been friends for several years but have only been dating two months. She was most recently linked with 'Bachelorette' star Justin Rego.

Rego took to Twitter to send his best wishes. "I want to officially wish @angelinamtvjs congratulations on her engagement. I wish her and David nothing but happiness. And Angelina, if you need a 'Rated-R' ring boy you know who to call," he wrote.

A rep for Pivarnick did not return a request for comment.

After watching the "dirty pad" episode on Jersey Shore, I can't look at her without feeling a little disgusted. I guess her fiance musta missed that episode.

This just proves the fact that anyone- and I mean ANYONE- can have their 15 minutes of fame. Sorry, I'm sure this girl has her good points somewhere, but I watched JS before and after she was gone- she is just so incredibly ghetto...thinks she's perfect, uhhh...NOOOO. I really don't care for Snooki, but I would take her over this creature anyday.
