Pete Wentz wasn't the only one surprised when his wife of two-and-half-years, Ashlee Simpson, filed for divorce.

Mark Hoppus, host of 'Hoppus on Music' on Fuse and a close friend of Wentz's, was equally shocked.

Lamenting the couple's pending divorce, Hoppus said, "It really caught me off guard. I had no idea. I mean, I'm friends with him and Ashlee, our families go out and have meals together and our kids play together."
