Nicole Richie Tells Charlie Sheen to Get Clean on 'The View'

Nicole Richie knows a thing or two about rehab, and she had some things to say about Charlie Sheen's latest troubles while co-hosting on 'The View.'

According to Us Magazine, the 29-year-old newlywed and mother of two blasted Sheen's comments that CBS has meddled in his "personal life" and his attempts at sobriety.

"I don't think he should make it somebody else's responsibility to keep him sober," Richie, who has been arrested three times and went to rehab once for substance abuse, said.

Sheen has made headlines recently for his hard partying ways. Most recently, an alleged cocaine-fueled bender with porn stars landed him in the hospital and has delayed production on his CBS sitcom, 'Two and a Half Men.'

"If he wants [his sobriety] to last for a long time, it's up to him," Richie said on the talk show. "He's an adult and he needs to take responsibility for his actions."

Richie, who once famously toured the country with Paris Hilton on 'The Simple Life,' has certainly turned over a new leaf herself, leaving her own partying days behind her. She married Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden in December, and they have two children together.

I think Nicole Richey has done wonders to herself. I take my hat of to her. Alexandra if you mean this to be about Nicole she has cleaned up her act. I think she was just a follower of Paris Hilton and once she got rid of her she was good to go. I think she is a tremendous mother and can be a person that a teen can look up to. She knows what she did was wrong and seems to love her life now.
