Britney Spears Debuts 'Hold It Against Me' Music Video

Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' video is finally here! The lead single from her upcoming 'Femme Fatale' album is the first new music we've heard from Spears since her 2009 hit '3.'

Directed by Jonas Akerlund, who worked on the Lady Gaga/Beyonce 'Telephone' clip, the video for 'Hold It Against Me' has been the subject of much speculation. Rumors of dance doubles and a Super Bowl debut have since been replaced with painfully short previews of the video in 13 installments over the past two weeks. Despite only being five seconds in length each, they have already amassed a total of 10 million views, according to YouTube Trends.

The preview shows Spears -- wearing a tie-dyed jacket, silver short-shorts, fishnet stockings -- getting her grind on with some male dancers. This all seems fitting for the Dr. Luke and Max Martin-produced single, which focuses on the usual Britney Spears themes of love, school-girl vulnerability and overt sexuality.

Already a record-breaking single, those close to Spears are promising the visuals for the song will beyond compare. According to Brian Friedman, the video's choreographer, Spears is "definitely setting the bar" with 'Hold It Against Me.'

"She's showing that you have to push it as an artist: that you can't just settle, that you can't be calm with your choreography, that you have to make a statement," he told MTV. "There's so many people out there competing in this world to be the queen of pop, and she's definitely claiming her throne."

Friedman added that Spears "pushed the envelope" further than any of her past videos, and the result is "a masterpiece." Meanwhile, her manager Adam Leber called it "epic."

Spears' album 'Femme Fatale' is set for release on March 29.

Uhhhhh, not so good. Looks like she can't dance like she used to. Don't understand the story line. Kind of strange and very stagnent in movement. Not what it was hyped to be for sure.

with everything that's been reported in the tabloids, i expected her to look like courtney love. she looks good tho. still can't sing and the video is weird.

HORRIBLE! All the product placement was tacky and her dancing was so robotic. It looked like she was trying to remember her dance moves. I don't get why they played her old music videos in the background?

Its kind of a mess. Didn't concentrate on anything long enough to understand it. It's an EPIC disappointment - flashy, but really no point to it.

She looks good though and the sets are nice....

This is pretty sad. I was never a Spears fan, but even with the lack of singing talent she seemed to enjoy what she was doing (dancing, being "pretty" for the camera). She was lifeless throughout this video - dancing was horrible and there was nothing saying she enjoyed this anymore. She looked vacant in most scenes and miserable in the others.

Auto-tune can make a bad song good.. only make it sound better.
All in all.. not likely to stay on the charts long. Which is a good thing.

I think she hurt her knee some years back in a concert. She hasn't been able to move like she used to since then, but yeah it would be nice to see a bit more dancing if possible.

Vocals? I think the rumor is drugs messed her voice up. I have no idea how that happens, but what ever.

I hate to say it, but it's true; a million girls out there could do what she's doing. Britney was great and now she's a brand name. The studio wizards process some thing and slap the Britney logo on it and they are done.

I like Britney and wished she hadn't messed herself up.

This isn't one of her better songs. My guess is she's testing the water's before releasing any thing major.

"Masterpiece" & "Epic"??? You have to be kidding me... The video makes no sense at all. They jumped around frame to frame so fast it makes it hard to even tell who you are looking at most of the time. VERY annoying and tacky.
