Bruno Mars may still be flying high from his Grammy performance, but a court appearance Wednesday morning sobered him up pretty quickly. The smooth crooner pleaded guilty to cocaine possession stemming from a 2010 arrest and ended up taking a pretty sweet plea deal.
According to E! News, Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, was busted last September for possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine in a Las Vegas restroom. He faced possible felony charges but instead opted to take a plea deal.
"Bruno is very appreciative that the charges are going to be dismissed," his lawyer Blair Berk said.
The 'Just The Way You Are' singer, 25, has agreed to complete 200 hours of community service within a year's time, plus pay a $2,000 fine. He is also on probation for the next year, meaning if stays out of trouble for the next 12 months, the incident will be wiped from his record.
Mars is looking forward to putting the charges behind him, as he just announced a new tour with his Grammy performance partner, Janelle Monáe. The duo will play 24 shows, starting May 4 in New York City.

It never fails me so see that if you are a celebrity you get off a felony charge. This pos should go to prison regardless of who he is. Anybody else who is not known would certainly be jailed. What has happened to our justice system?
