Charlie Sheen called into 'The Dan Patrick Show' on Wednesday and gave an eight-minute interview to set the record straight about his 'Two and a Half Men' hiatus and various reports surrounding his tumultuous life.
"It's just insane, I have to call in on a couple of things," Sheen told Dan Patrick on-air for the second time in three days.
"People need to understand how supremely grateful I am that someone stepped in here," Sheen said. "I don't want to say who, but you know, basically, Viacom showed up at my house and said, 'Dude, it's getting really obvious, and we're really worried about you. We don't give a rat's tooey about the show, we care about your health.' So, they came in and just man to man and said, 'We have to shut it down.'"
Somewhat arbitrarily, Sheen asked Patrick to notify him if Lindsay Lohan was ever secured as a guest for the show. "I've got some things I'd recommend she'd consider," Sheen said. "I don't tell anyone what to do."
Pressed for one piece of advice for Lohan, Sheen said: "Work on your impulse control. Just try to think things through a little bit before you do 'em."
On the topic of LiLo, Sheen condemned media who "vilify without fact." According to a TMZ source, Lindsay was thankful for Charlie's words, reportedly telling acquaintances she "appreciates Charlie giving her his support."
Sheen mentioned an unidentified girlfriend and said he is "100 percent" in love. HollywoodDame.com speculates that "simple deduction would peg Bree Olson has his new lady love," saying Sheen spent the holidays with the 24-year-old porn star.
See PopEater editors sound off on Charlie's latest goings-on:
Sheen also chimed in on 'Two and a Half Man' creator Chuck Lorre's humorous comment this week -- on the traditional "vanity card" in the closing credits of Monday's TV show, Lorre wrote, "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."
Was Sheen affronted? Not at all, apparently. "Everybody tried to turn it into a feud," Sheen told Patrick. "It's a reflection of how he feels in comparison to how insane my life appears at time. I took it as a huge compliment. He basically wrote a brilliant little piece of literature and called me Superman. Don't people get it?"
The Superman part came in the full text of Lorre's words, where he touted his own efforts at maintaining health, in contrast to Sheen's hard-partying ways.
Sheen said he'll return to 'Two and a Half Men' on March 1. "We're gonna get back there and we can figure this out."
When asked, Sheen also said he will continue starring next season. "Oh God, yeah!" he said. "Because I have a two year deal. I'm a man of my word."
Sheen expressed the same sentiment speaking to Patrick two days prior, on Feb. 14. "I'm a man of my word; I have a contract. They said get your act together, and I did. I think just maybe it was a timing thing. I didn't think it was going to happen this fast. Check it, it's like I heal really quickly. But I unravel pretty quickly. So get me right now, guys."
Sheen told Patrick that day that he was sober. "Oh yeah. One hundred percent, one hundred perfect," he said. "Peeing clean. I just said pee on your show, sorry man. I feel great, man ... I'm here and ready ... I'm actually hungry."
Ready to return to work earlier than expected, Sheen went to the set and found it empty. "We are on forced hiatus. They said, 'You get ready and we'll get ready.' And I got ready and went back and nobody's there," Sheen said Monday. "I'm here and I'm ready. They're not. Bring it, you know?"

A "briefcase full of cocaine." Isn't that illegal anymore? Or, is this another case of CELEBRITY justice? I'm really starting to believe there really aren't any laws for celebrities. Anyone else caught with a "briefcase full of cocaine" would be doing hard time in prison. Now THAT would stop his partying ways. Oh I forgot, there's always Bubba and the gang. Where the hell is the LAW on this type of drug behavior??????
Time for Charlie to snort off into oblivion. Maybe he can find an island with no phones and no transportation so he cannot continue to spread his disease to others. Hopefully the network will just get rid of him. Not the kind of role model we want for our children or even ourselves, regardless of age. We need to stop subsidizing the death and destruction of supper-stars who cannot believe they have arrived and want to destroy themselves.
So much raw talent...so much life wasted....It's seems it's just a matter of time untill we will be reading about Charlie's overdose and death. What a shame.
Like anybody is going to take advice from Charlie. Too funny. Thanks for the laughs Chuck on and off screen. Had a problem myself at one time. Life is a lot better now. Good luck.
Why is Sheen or any of those like him even given "print space"? This country has sunk to an all time low if these people are allowed to have ANY kind of forum. IMHO
Hollyweird will always be the cess pool for disfunctional people, drug addicts, illict sex, sex with any and everyone, children born in a marriageless situation, alcoholics, living in a almost all actors and musicians in entertainment world are fantasy world, they don't have an identity, lost souls, they take on different characters in acting, because that is where there disfunctional minds are safe, playing someone else, they can't be themselves. My son in law was an actor and got out of the business or he would have killed himself on drugs, alcohol. He said it is the publics fault, people make them stars, paid to much money, they crave being an exibitionist, making sex tapes, playing nude roles, etc, there lifestyle is being glorified by the people, stop atching this garbage and you will stop contributing Sheen and every else problem. Hollywood is the worlds sewer. Phew !!!!
What about actors such as Jimmy Stewart; Paul Newman; Joanne Woodward, and many others who have had stellar careers, never got mixed up in drugs and alcohol, and remained married to one person for life? You can't deal in absolutes, because it just doesn't work.
You cannot sterotype every musician and actor as immoral, drug addicts or alcoholics. The best actors/actress' for one live on and are from the east coast. Neither druggies alcholics or anything other than true to thier art form. I.E. Robert Deniro, Dustin Hoffman, Merryl Streep, etc. There are unwed mothers, drug addicts, alcoholics, etc. all over the counrty who are not actors or musicians.
Seriously? You are actually saying, or spewing what you lame son said....That the reason these celebrities are pieces of crap is our fault? All of the money and fame WE give them is the root of these problemshuh? I am sure that when your brilliant son-in-law decided to be an actor, it wasnt to be famous rich, or popular, the just wanted to work on their craft, right? I mean, who could ever guess that actually making it in show business would bring fans, paparazzi, drugs, women, parties, etc. etc. Reall Bernie, you sound like a total moron, and so does your son in law. Did you read that in the Sean Penn Handbook? The chapter that is titled 'I wanted to be a famous actor and get paid lots of money, but I dont want anyone to recognize me or bother me" ?
WHY DO WE WATCH THIS LOSER...AND WHY SUPPORT HIS BAD ACTIONS,WHAT HAPPEN TO REAL TALENT ???? WE ARE SURE TEACHING THE NEXT GENERATIONS ITS ALRIGHT TO BE A JERK.
