Charlie Sheen to Lindsay Lohan: 'Work On Your Impulse Control'

Charlie Sheen called into 'The Dan Patrick Show' on Wednesday and gave an eight-minute interview to set the record straight about his 'Two and a Half Men' hiatus and various reports surrounding his tumultuous life.

"It's just insane, I have to call in on a couple of things," Sheen told Dan Patrick on-air for the second time in three days.

"People need to understand how supremely grateful I am that someone stepped in here," Sheen said. "I don't want to say who, but you know, basically, Viacom showed up at my house and said, 'Dude, it's getting really obvious, and we're really worried about you. We don't give a rat's tooey about the show, we care about your health.' So, they came in and just man to man and said, 'We have to shut it down.'"

Somewhat arbitrarily, Sheen asked Patrick to notify him if Lindsay Lohan was ever secured as a guest for the show. "I've got some things I'd recommend she'd consider," Sheen said. "I don't tell anyone what to do."

Pressed for one piece of advice for Lohan, Sheen said: "Work on your impulse control. Just try to think things through a little bit before you do 'em."

On the topic of LiLo, Sheen condemned media who "vilify without fact." According to a TMZ source, Lindsay was thankful for Charlie's words, reportedly telling acquaintances she "appreciates Charlie giving her his support."

Sheen mentioned an unidentified girlfriend and said he is "100 percent" in love. HollywoodDame.com speculates that "simple deduction would peg Bree Olson has his new lady love," saying Sheen spent the holidays with the 24-year-old porn star.

Sheen also chimed in on 'Two and a Half Man' creator Chuck Lorre's humorous comment this week -- on the traditional "vanity card" in the closing credits of Monday's TV show, Lorre wrote, "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."

Was Sheen affronted? Not at all, apparently. "Everybody tried to turn it into a feud," Sheen told Patrick. "It's a reflection of how he feels in comparison to how insane my life appears at time. I took it as a huge compliment. He basically wrote a brilliant little piece of literature and called me Superman. Don't people get it?"

The Superman part came in the full text of Lorre's words, where he touted his own efforts at maintaining health, in contrast to Sheen's hard-partying ways.

Sheen said he'll return to 'Two and a Half Men' on March 1. "We're gonna get back there and we can figure this out."

When asked, Sheen also said he will continue starring next season. "Oh God, yeah!" he said. "Because I have a two year deal. I'm a man of my word."

Sheen expressed the same sentiment speaking to Patrick two days prior, on Feb. 14. "I'm a man of my word; I have a contract. They said get your act together, and I did. I think just maybe it was a timing thing. I didn't think it was going to happen this fast. Check it, it's like I heal really quickly. But I unravel pretty quickly. So get me right now, guys."

Sheen told Patrick that day that he was sober. "Oh yeah. One hundred percent, one hundred perfect," he said. "Peeing clean. I just said pee on your show, sorry man. I feel great, man ... I'm here and ready ... I'm actually hungry."

Ready to return to work earlier than expected, Sheen went to the set and found it empty. "We are on forced hiatus. They said, 'You get ready and we'll get ready.' And I got ready and went back and nobody's there," Sheen said Monday. "I'm here and I'm ready. They're not. Bring it, you know?"

Charlie I was really pulling for you. I really liked your show. But after all this crap I really dont care if your show continues or not. What a shame. I think you are taking your role seriously on the TV. As a drunk and a womanizer.

Sheen giving Lohan advice? That's priceless! I think Charlie should break out of denial and seek ACTUAL treatment and recovery. THEN maybe he'd be justified in handing out unsolicited advice to someone. And now he's claiming that he's "100% in love" with a 24-year-old porn star? Yep, still in denial.

It does seem kind of senseless that people who are rich and famous can make a mockery out of the recovery system.There are a lot of people who really try to make a full recovery and this clown makes it seem like it is just another episode from his lame series.

57 Stratman get off your knees and clean off your lips and wake up to some facts. Charlie Sheehan & Lindsay Lohan are evil. Because of the damage they do to young impressionable kids. True, they shouldn't be role models but the sad truth is they are. Even Sheehan must have a lucid moment every now and than, and when he does will he use that moment to help himself, no, he's bored with that life. He has the means and opportunity to straighten himself out, if not for his sake, how about his own children?

The guy just doesn't get it. He's a freakin' drunk & druggie end of story. He better hope that this show doesn't go away because after virtually admitting that he can't stay sober I seriously doubt anyone will take a chance on him for any longterm projects in the future.

Unless someone is hurting another human or animal, what they do in their private life has nothing to so with their acting ability. I think Charlie and the show are great. Very funny stuff. Just because you don't like him, doesn't make him a bad actor. I don't think I read your movie critics column or saw your tv show, so I don't think you are much of an authority. And acting and movies are based on individuals taste. If an actor or movie makes someone happy or they enjoy it, then who is to judge if it is bad? I never say something "is" bad. Whether it be music, food, movies, etc. I always say I hate it or I didn't like it. Because, after all, its just my opinion on something. I can hate something, but it doesn't make it is bad..someone else will love it. To wish someone dead is sick. As Stratman mentioned, Downey was on the road to Hell and he made a wonderful recovery. Kudos to him.

Whats sad is that Charlie just doesn't get it, like most addicts. It sucks because he deserves better then what he gives himself.He has entertained the world, gave us an escape into another reality that helps keep us all sane and happier...and he treats himself so badly.

Network is liable for anything sheen does at the network. If he hurts anybody, the victim has a BIG lawsuit against the network. They know he has a violent background. They know he is an addict and they know that being sober is "boring" to sheen. They should cancel the show indefinitely. PERIOD.
