Charlie Sheen to Lindsay Lohan: 'Work On Your Impulse Control'

Charlie Sheen called into 'The Dan Patrick Show' on Wednesday and gave an eight-minute interview to set the record straight about his 'Two and a Half Men' hiatus and various reports surrounding his tumultuous life.

"It's just insane, I have to call in on a couple of things," Sheen told Dan Patrick on-air for the second time in three days.

"People need to understand how supremely grateful I am that someone stepped in here," Sheen said. "I don't want to say who, but you know, basically, Viacom showed up at my house and said, 'Dude, it's getting really obvious, and we're really worried about you. We don't give a rat's tooey about the show, we care about your health.' So, they came in and just man to man and said, 'We have to shut it down.'"

Somewhat arbitrarily, Sheen asked Patrick to notify him if Lindsay Lohan was ever secured as a guest for the show. "I've got some things I'd recommend she'd consider," Sheen said. "I don't tell anyone what to do."

Pressed for one piece of advice for Lohan, Sheen said: "Work on your impulse control. Just try to think things through a little bit before you do 'em."

On the topic of LiLo, Sheen condemned media who "vilify without fact." According to a TMZ source, Lindsay was thankful for Charlie's words, reportedly telling acquaintances she "appreciates Charlie giving her his support."

Sheen mentioned an unidentified girlfriend and said he is "100 percent" in love. HollywoodDame.com speculates that "simple deduction would peg Bree Olson has his new lady love," saying Sheen spent the holidays with the 24-year-old porn star.

Sheen also chimed in on 'Two and a Half Man' creator Chuck Lorre's humorous comment this week -- on the traditional "vanity card" in the closing credits of Monday's TV show, Lorre wrote, "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed."

Was Sheen affronted? Not at all, apparently. "Everybody tried to turn it into a feud," Sheen told Patrick. "It's a reflection of how he feels in comparison to how insane my life appears at time. I took it as a huge compliment. He basically wrote a brilliant little piece of literature and called me Superman. Don't people get it?"

The Superman part came in the full text of Lorre's words, where he touted his own efforts at maintaining health, in contrast to Sheen's hard-partying ways.

Sheen said he'll return to 'Two and a Half Men' on March 1. "We're gonna get back there and we can figure this out."

When asked, Sheen also said he will continue starring next season. "Oh God, yeah!" he said. "Because I have a two year deal. I'm a man of my word."

Sheen expressed the same sentiment speaking to Patrick two days prior, on Feb. 14. "I'm a man of my word; I have a contract. They said get your act together, and I did. I think just maybe it was a timing thing. I didn't think it was going to happen this fast. Check it, it's like I heal really quickly. But I unravel pretty quickly. So get me right now, guys."

Sheen told Patrick that day that he was sober. "Oh yeah. One hundred percent, one hundred perfect," he said. "Peeing clean. I just said pee on your show, sorry man. I feel great, man ... I'm here and ready ... I'm actually hungry."

Ready to return to work earlier than expected, Sheen went to the set and found it empty. "We are on forced hiatus. They said, 'You get ready and we'll get ready.' And I got ready and went back and nobody's there," Sheen said Monday. "I'm here and I'm ready. They're not. Bring it, you know?"

When are we as a country going to get it. We keep idolizing people like this and let them get away with all that they do. What kind of message are we sending to our children. It's okay if your a druggie, alcoholic, shop lifter, etc, as long as your a celebrity. Some say "they don't affect your life". Yes, they do, they send the wrong messages to our children and our children are suffering because of it.

The Sheen-Estevez clan has always been trash. It so happens that Charlie is the trashiest... I don't care how much money they make or how famous they are, these are the kind of people you don't want hanging around you.

How is your family doing? Any better? I think not. The only difference between our families, and theirs, is that they are in the public eye, and most of us are not. Charlie is an adult and in charge of his own life. Leave his family alone unless you think that YOU should be held accountable for all that goes wrong in yours since now you have made a public statement.

He has a history of violence and he is a junky. If you want to make some easy money, get a jop on the set of 2 1/2 men and pick a fight with sheen. Take the black eye or split lip then sue the network becuz they know he is a ticking time bomb. Not mean, just facts.

sheen is a ticking time bomb. He will either kill himself or hurt/kill somebody else. If you want easy money, get a job on the set of 2 1/2 men and pick a fight with charlie. If you are lucky, a split lip and a black eye and you will be rich. Sue the network becuz they KNOW he is dangerous and settle out of court with sheen and drop the charges so he wont go to jail. The media should not bastdardize Charlie's since of humor.I thought the crack remark was hilarious.My boss says that whatever you do at home is your business,just don't do it at work,and do your job when you get there;preferably not hung over!I just hope the guy isn't on the "jenny crank diet"

The problem is they have all this money and people who will do anything for them for a buck and truly dont care for them. Lose your money and see who is there for you then. You want a real reason to be depressed and need the feeling that drug addiction brings. Work a regular job and struggle to get by. Take away all the fame and money and hey you are just like the rest of us, just living day to day. Grow up.

I have to laugh, Charlie Sheen giving advice to Linsay about thinking about things before you do them. HA Ha Ha! And then saying to the radio show about crack You got to know how to use it socialby and have control.Charlie Sheen has a big problem with denial. He needs to think about his kids and wanting to watch them grow, graduate and maybe marry and have grandchildren!

Not a fan of either one but, they are human's in crisis. Is prison the answer? No. That is what happened to my son. Off to prison because of drugs and now-he was killed there. Not one day of help. Lock him up. The enablers in these two lives need to wake up also. I applaud the show going on hiatis. Sheen should pay ALL wages as part of his recovery. He has never had to face the music of addiction so why stop. Lohan the same. The slap on the wrist approach has failed. They need long term treatment and sober living not death wishes. Hopefully they can get it togather before they join the Hollywood dead to soon club.

one of the problems this loser has, is he doesn't know what to do with all the money he has. He could start a charity, help sick kids, get high by doing some good for the world.
