He was always there for you and now that you are all grown up at a big 18 years old you no longer think you need him? She is the product of another celebrity "grew up too fast" generation. Her father stayed with her during the show hoping she would be different than the others but unfortunately she is proving she can't handle being a grownup. She ought to think twice about her behavior and how she appears to others who think she is so terrific. Another crummy role model for our youth.

I totally understand his pain, I have a daughter that is 18 and its really hard to let them go, my daughter went out of state to college and even though she is a good girl, you just never know what kind of decisions they are going to make, it is truely scary...before they turn 18 you feel really close to them almost as if you are best friends, then the im 18 phase kicks in and they always use that against you, not really knowing that by saying that to you they might as well just slapped you in the face, trust me they will understand when their kid turns 18..lol..anyway, I'm right there with you Billy Ray, all we can do is , well- "nothing" but let her know that you are right there at her fingertips(cell phone) if she needs you, that is what i do and i always ask my daughter to text me good morning and good nite, its not much, but it helps me make it day to day..keep the faith and stay as close as she'll let you :)

What people are trying to tell you is that posts in all-caps are rude and being rude is not the way to make your point. I'm not at all surprised that the all-cap offender is also a judgmental person who is incapable of putting herself in another person's shoes. All of us went through a rebellious stage when we were teenagers, that's normal. Miley certainly hasn't done anything illegal or so outrageous that she deserves the kind of public abuse her father--or the all-cap offender--is dishing out.

Why did he wait until she was 18 and away from him to begin worrying about her behavior?
He used to make excuses for her while she was underage and acting like a little tramp. Now she's moved on, he's left behind, and he can no longer linger to his daughter's dress to be in the photos with her. He needs his own PR agent and stop milking Miley. If he's worried, he should talk to her in private like a good father would.

The issue here is Miley's position, if what's reported indeed is accurate, is that Billy Ray should not be airing out the family's issues. He can state how he feels about Disney, but Miley is another story. And, I'm not on any bandwagon that sees Miley as a trainwreck. Anything's possible, but there's nothing about her that I find that alarming. She does her work well, that's what matters, her work on the So Undercover set went off without a hitch and she was praised for her professionalism. She was great at the grammies, she did NOT interrupt Willow Smith, Ryan Seacrest called her over and Miley engaged and talked to Willow Smith and hugged her before talking to Seacrest--so that's an untrue rumor being spread. She's going on SNL and she's got a solid work reputation. I'd only ask her to be careful around cameras in her private life and hope that she and her father patch up whatever differences they have PRIVATELY.

I like miley cyrus, I like her style and I like her songs. she is now 18 or 19 people she is growing she wants to expand. And im sure all of you tried pot or that salvia thing shes still young and people in hollywood are doing alot of worse drugs like cocaine and god knows what else, we have all done things like this are lives are just not in the public eye.
