Report: Natalie Portman Is Expecting a Baby Boy

Natalie Portman is expecting a baby boy with fiance Benjamin Millepied, according to reports.

Life & Style is quoting a source close to the couple, who says the pair could not be happier but are hoping to keep the information a close secret.

"They've only told a very small group of family members and friends that they're expecting a son," the source said. "They are so excited. Benjamin cannot wait to be a father."

Portman is due in late spring or early summer.

Last Sunday at the BAFTAs in London, Portman won the leading actress trophy for her role in 'Black Swan,' but the film's director Darren Aronofsky picked up the award on her behalf. He said that Portman wished she could be there but was not able to fly because of her pregnancy.

He also joked about Portman blaming him for her pregnancy, saying, "She said ... I came the closest to knocking her up without knocking her up. I introduced her to her fiance."

Portman is the hot favorite to win the best actress statue at the Academy Awards on Feb. 27. She has already won Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for her turn as a mentally unstable ballerina.

I find it very sad of you to be more concerned about Natalie Portman's marital status than her unborn child's health. Marriage doesn't affect parenting skills whatsoever. As for Natalie, congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope you'll have a healthy baby boy. I'm not a mother myself, but I heard first-time parents can have quite a handful with their child. I hope you'll do well with yours.

Actually, it might. It doesn't seem like the parents gave much thought to having this child; the "father" seems like a gold-digging phony, and Natalie was pretty stupid to get knocked up with somebody she really doesn't know long? (and who was in a long term relationship apparently). NOT a good start for the kid.

It's sad that they wanted to keep it a close secret and yet a source disclosed it the sex of the baby for all the world. Some close family and friend indeed.
As for all you silly people who claim the baby is screwed because they're not married, grow up. How ridiculous. Let people live the way they want. I'm sure you're all so perfect. Quit being so hypocritical and let them live a happy life. A baby is a joy and blessing no matter what. Wishing them all the best and happiness abound

I thought she would know the sex of the child by now.
Most hollywooders that have babies, do find out what the sex is before the child is born. Nothing wrong with that.
Its the ones that go to the doctor to make sure their having the boy, or girl they want that gets me, even though its none of my business. It just seems like their trying to play God, when they have a doctor inplant twins. Its the latest craze in hollywood to have twins. At least Natilie didnt do that.
I wish her and her baby, all the very best.
