Denise Richards: Charlie's Lifestyle Isn't Anything New

Denise Richards has had a lot to deal with recently, with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's public drug and health scandal making headlines week after week. She recently sat down with the ladies of 'The View' and opened up about discussing Sheen with her daughters and revealed his antics are anything but new, according to RadarOnline.

"This is Charlie's lifestyle," Richards said when asked by Barbara Walters if her ex-husband's behavior surprised her. "He makes no bones about it ... and it is what it is."

Richards and Sheen divorced in 2006 after four years of marriage and have two daughters together. The 'Two and a Half Men' star was hospitalized last month after an apparent drug-fueled night of partying with porn stars. He has since been released and is reportedly getting rehab treatment at home.

Explaining the situation to her children hasn't been easy, but it's something they've apparently grown up with, Richards revealed on the pre-taped show airing today.

"This has been something I have dealt with for years ... this is not a new situation," she continued. "There are times where his life is more colorful than others, more public than others, and as the kids get older, it's a difficult thing."

She seems to be managing the stress well, though she admits it can be hard at times.

"I'm learning as I go too ... So I do the best I can, and it's not easy," Richards said.

As for Sheen's current situation, Richards claims it's not her "place to judge" and suggests that if people want to really know what Sheen's up to then they should "have him on the show and get into the details of what's going on."

"INTEGRITY"...!!?? Were you around when she couldn't wait to date her 'friends' husband (yes, they were divorcing, but the ink wasn't even DRY on the papers before there were pictures of THEM out and about)... she's right about ONE thing... she has NO place to judge anyone.

I doubt money is keeping her mouth shut. If anything is keeping her from publicly bashing Charlie, it's her kids. Plus, she can only keep the upper hand in that "relationship" by doing exactly what she is doing. Trust me, in private, she thinks he is worthless and no kind of father to his kids.

I do think she has some interest in his well being since he pays child support for her 2 girls. It is not in her best interest or her kids' to see him lose his job.

Denise appears shy, dumbish blondish type of person. However I think she is very smart and knows exactly what she is doing with Charlie. If you notice the more she stands by him, for the sake of her children, the more new bigger houses she gets, and vacations. She just recently again got a bigger house.

She sure doesnt get much work, or surely not enough to support her lifestyle, so the only place would be the big C H A R L I E.
All she has to do is say I support him, its his lifestyle, he is a good father and the big bucks keep rolling in.
This is not a weak, shy or stupid woman.
Any other woman in this world would have made sure Charlie had NO contact with those children EVER unless with a 3rd and 4th person monitor AT ALL TIMES.

Denise, seriously, you will get the money anyway when he dies, but get your daughters away from him. Like on intervention they show you everyone, EVERYONE pulls away until that person gets help, sticks to it, and succeeds or they do not have all the enablers in their lives anymore. DO IT NOW

It appears to me she is taking the high road because of her children. I think Charlie really missed out when he lost her, she seemed to really care about him If she continues to take the high road their children will love her even more. They will be able to see Charlie as he is, without their Mom bad mouthing him.

The "high road"...???!!! (snort) Guess you missed her "reality show" that smacked of everything BUT putting those kids first.

And this behavior is nothing new, Charlie has been doing the same things since he begin appearing in movies. Nothing new has happened, except for his hit show. And all the people out of work because of good time Charlie. At least hes been paying them, that is the very least he can do.
Denise either is sweet, and a devoted mother, or Charlie is paying her lots of money to be quiet.

Denise deserves all her bad luck after what she did to Heather and Richie. Men are weak but Denise was strong and her close friend. What a horrible friend. I am not even saying what I would have done.

Moral of the story........be careful (very careful) of whom you have children with. Of course, she has to watch what she says or risk being sued. She is no angel, but thank God those adorable little girls have her, because they certainly don't have a father.
