While the groom's first cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenia, will be VIP guests at Prince William and Kate Middleton's April 29 nuptials, their mother -- the Duchess of York -- won't be included in any royal wedding festivities. Why the snub? Sarah Ferguson, 51, was married for a decade to Prince Andrew (Prince William's paternal uncle) until her tabloid-mocked infidelities led to divorce in 1996; the exes quietly went on to raise their daughters as single parents. Last year, a mortifying undercover sting caught Sarah soliciting bribe money to "open doors" to her influential ex. The shamed royal will soon attempt image rehab with a new reality series, 'Finding Sarah,' on Oprah Winfrey's OWN channel.
But with 1,900 royal invitations being dispatched around the world for what could be the most expensive wedding ever, is the duchess appalled at being left out? According to People.com, her rep confirms that Ferguson plans to be overseas in late April, and calls the snub no surprise: "She will not be attending. She never expected to be invited."

@Carl Smith...Puleeeze, get your facts straight.
ie: The Queen, hostile and bitter? Her husband, a Nazi? Now, Battenburg is downright hilariou. ( try Montbatten )
As for Margaret; drinking problem, Yes. ( earlier days? ) You have her as drug addict, on what is that based?
PPL. like you are so far out there! You make it up, as you go along. Get a life.
Pretty tacky......

Ooops.....I meant that Camilla's 3 year old granddaughter is in
the wedding party.

Fergie's best position on this would be to steer clear of the entire clan. It should be the choice of her daughter's whether or not to attend with their father.

I'm positive William and Kate had zero control over who was or wasn't invited. It isn't shocking that she was left off the list. The family might be royalty but they lack alot of grace. Their snubs only reflect badly on themselves.

Damn right they lack a lot of grace-Kate here will be the only Queen in their history books to be photographed near naked! In my day-and my still living Mother's day-a girl like that is not one you brought home and married if you were one day to be King! To top it off Wills is said to have fallen in love with her the minute he saw her in that see through thing! Fairy Tale Love my arse-it was bone-horniness! And since Harry was left the engagement ring Kate is sporting, I hope he gets it back when he decides to get married!
They don't have to invite that Duchess or no longer Duchess and her family.

After what Sarah pulled last year, she's lucky that she's still allowed in the country.

She and Prince Andrew attended and arrived at Princess Diana's funeral together even though they were no longer married. hey still live in the same house. She alweays had a better relationship with the Queen then any of the others. My bet is she will be invited and she will attend but if that is not the case it is all about that video.

US Today said that the Obamas are indeed invited to the wedding.

You can take Camilla, Saddle wearing Anne, Drunken Margaret, the homo-marryer Sophie Ryes-Jones and Zara and rolled all together and you still wouldn't have the fun loving, easy going Fergie. The entire Royal Family should take a cue from Sarah.

she knew all along she wasn!t going to get an invite to the wedding no suprise for her

The children are related by blood, she is not. I expect there are any number of people invited that are not blood relations, but are important to diplomatic ties. Not only is she not surprized at no invite, I'm not sure she would have accepted anyway if she had been invited.

Prince Andrew could bring her as a guest....
I don't blame the family for not inviting her, but, William is her nephew, her children are his cousins....It would be the polite thing to invite her and then let her decline. Not inviting her looks petty.

Royal's live their lives with dignity which Princess Diana and Sarah did not. Sarah sold her soul when she said she'd take money that would lead that person to her former husband. I agree that all eyes would be on Sarah just to see whether she is sober.

OH NO I DONT KNOW HOW I CAN GO ON LIVING. I MEAN THEY SNUBBED FERGIE.the royal family in england is a waste they need to go.they do little, and take govt.funds in the states we call this welfare.I am offended that anyone declares themselves royal,Dont exist the queen has no power,it is the 21st century send them packing, use the money for something worth while

Fergie and Andrew still live in the same house. Andrew and Fergie take trips together. Andrew and Fergie went to Spain together after the pay-for-access-to-Andrew-set-up scandal last year. These two have a far better relationship than most any divorced couple I know. Fergie is still subjected to the glare of the public media circus that surrounds the royals. Andrew apparently understands her plight and loves her if only as the mother of his children.
Fergie should have been given the dignity of an invitation. She would have declined but at least the palace "advisers" would be viewed as having a heart.

I wonder if Diana was still alive and Beatrice or Eugenia were getting married, would she have been invited? Not necessarily saying Sarah should have been invited, just wondering.
