Billy Ray Cyrus certainly knows how to burn a bridge. First he angers his daughter Miley by comparing her to Anna Nicole Smith. Then he attacks Disney, saying 'Hannah Montana' destroyed his family. Now he goes and upsets TV legend Barbara Walters after his daughter forced him to drop out of a scheduled interview on 'The View' this week."When Miley found out her father was scheduled to appear on 'The View' on Wednesday she went nuts," a family friend tells me. "Only last week, Billy shot his mouth off in GQ, and now he planned to sit down with [Barbara and Whoopi] and talk more crap about his family. No way would Miley or her team let that happen."

Kinda sounds like he should to me too. He's not sounding very supportive of Miley at all! If the show "hanna Montana" was hurting his family so much, why didn't he quit and tell Miley that she's done also when she was still a minor? He had every right to do that, she probably wouldn't have liked it but she wouldn't have had a choice. He needs to chill and leave Miley alone.

Daddy dearest it seems is jealous of Miley and her being to succeed further than he did when Achey Breaky Heart was his only claim to fame. He worked for Disney too and cashed in on the Hannah Montana success. He should be ashamed of himself...
Miley Cyrus is a mess. And I surely would never have put my daughter in Hollywood read Disney. The entertainment industry has a huge chunk of responsibility for taking our kids down the drain, but you will never, ever hear them take one bit of responsibilty for it.
As for Ms. Cyrus...here's hoping she'll get her act together before she self destructs.
Billy Ray needs to shave off that "pelvis pad" and get a decent hair cut.

Truthfully I think the only reason he does what he does is so that he can have this "bond" with Miley and stay on her good side. That might not have been a bad idea if he wasn't such a poor judge of his own character at times.

Billy had a marginal hit way back when. She's been the family's cash cow for the last couple of years and now she's wearing the pant(ies) in the family.
I predict that she'll go Lohan within a year or two and join her dad in has-been obscurity.
Sounds like Billy Ray has stepped back and took a good look at what is happening with Miley. If he is truely trying to protect her from the glamour storm, I applaud him. As a society, we need young adults to be good role models for our children. She could do wonders for our youth if she is lead in the right direction. I pray that Billy can reach her and be a positive influence on her.

Unfortunately, while he SHOULD be reaching out to her, he's reaching out to GQ, the View, and any other piece of press. It's so funny; all he really needs to do is what the father did to Hannah on "Hannah Montana: the Movie": pull her back HOME and let her live a quiet, normal life for a while.
Miley is nothing but a Hoe and needs to drop off the face of the earth.
