While some fans are shaking their heads over the blatant product placements in Britney Spears' video for 'Hold it Against Me,' the singer isn't sweating her critics. In fact, she's laughing all the way to the bank.
TMZ reports that the pop superstar raked in a cool half a million dollars for prominently featuring a number of brands in the video, including Make Up Forever cosmetics, Sony, dating site Plenty of Fish and her own fragrance, Radiance.
Spears has heard from her fair share of detractors in the industry over the video, including Katy Perry, who tweeted about the obvious product placements, "do it w/style & grace...Not so in ur face like some. U hv to get creative w/it. Some artists don't care tho, & u can tell."

Despite the hefty price tag, sponsors whose products were promoted in the video only received a few seconds of air time, with some companies receving only one product shot (in conjunction, of course, with Spears' implied endorsement of the product).
One group that isn't complaining is Spears' advertisers, who are already reaping the benefits of their investment.
Plenty of Fish has already reported a 20 percent increase in traffic to their site since Spears debuted her video last week.

I am glad to see that Britney is back on track. One frenzied breakdown a decade is all the poor girl could handle. As for the in-your-face product placements, you go, Girl. Whoever planned it for the cash rake-in is worth the bucks they were paid, and if it was you, all the better.
you guys all suck hello shes not the producer and second i like bot the bellamy brothers as well as britney and i don think th song was plagerized the keys are not even the same and i am the same age as britney i remember when she came out and she has a beautiful voice and is georgeous and for real your going to damn her for making mistakes and having a meltdown? really? so have you never done anything dumb or made mistakes you cant call her a bad mother for that and remember she got help so she can be with her kids. i know i went through the bad rebelious stage and if i had everybody in america to answer to i would probably freak out to and just so you know the media plays on every little thing if you remember one time she went into a bathroom at a rest area with no shoes on and omg that was the front of all media magazines and every news channel she is no diferent from us but every move she makes it Scrutinized and totally blew it way out of proportion to make more money. hello and you are seriously going to judge her? get real

I don't pay any attention to Britney. I don't know how many times she's gotten naked. I "think" she has shown improvement after she received medical treatment for her problems.
