The Hairstylists Speak: Behind Justin Bieber and Jennifer Aniston's New Haircuts

Justin Bieber and Jennifer Aniston made international headlines this week when they got new looks. Now the hairstylists behind the makeovers are revealing details behind the new 'dos.

"It was just time for a change," Aniston's longtime stylist Chris McMillan told Allure.com of the star's shorter look. "We had a blast doing it. And we've always liked this haircut. It's about keeping things simple. All the styles are back to when I first started doing hair. And I love it."

McMillian said it's all about the bob, and he has a very specific reason why. "I'm loving bobs again. It's a sexy look ... The reason that I'm loving a bob at the moment ... There are so many long, layered hairstyles and -- don't get me wrong, I love that. But 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' all have that. You know what I mean? And what's the opposite direction you can go in?"

As for Mr. Bieber's new look, his stylist Vanessa Price, said the pop singer was anxious to mix it up. "He was ready," she explained to PEOPLE. "Cutting your hair is just part of the evolution and growing process for anyone, and I think he was just ready."

But this new look wasn't something Bieber took lightly. "We've been talking about it over the last six months or so, more or less. It's definitely been in the works for a while," Price revealed.

Price also shared an intimate detail about the singer's hair: "It's like silk," she admits. "He has very, very soft hair; I hope it stays that way forever."

Well, that's a far better picture of Aniston than the one's from yesterday. And she looks much better. Of course, just having the hair brushed this times does wonders. Still too many different colored 'highlights', though.

It's sad to feel better than, and you obviously do. You might want to work on that and worry about brushing your own hair. No male or female can say she isn't absolutley beautiful well, unless your to self centered to acknowledge a beautiful woman that is! Don't hate sweetie God doesn't like ugly!!!

I think it looks fabulous! I was ready for a little change. She will always look great. This new cut seems to make her look younger!!! Go girl, you are great! I have mucho respect for you!

Both look great. Everyone needs a change now and then and they both suit them well.

My only problem is that I was just about to get my hair cut like Jen's and now I don't want to look like I am trying to copy it. I know alot of people have this cut but to make the change just after she did seems a little odd to me.

That made no sense at all. The haircut was never about her. Get a clue...

Any change in the Bieber's 'do is long overdue.

Why don't you just bend down and gnaw it off? I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time. Of course, you'd have to move your mother out of the way first.

A new Bieber haircut? Now every chump kid in Long Island is going to have their soccer mom mother get them the new haircut.
