Friend: Lindsay Lohan 'Terrified' of What Lies Ahead

Judge Keith L. Schwartz left little doubt in court on Wednesday:
Lindsay Lohan is
"going to jail" if she averts a trial and resolves her felony grand theft case in his courtroom, a declaration that has left the actress quaking in her designer boots.
"I'm not sure if she can survive this," a friend of Lindsay's tells me. "She is so terrified and frightened that we all fear her addictions will kick in again to help her numb the fear."
Danette Meyers, the deputy DA in the case, tried to cut a deal with Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, offering her eight months in jail and probation, but Holley rejected the offer as she would not accept any hard time time for her client.
When Lindsay faces Judge Schwartz again on March 10, she'll need to decide whether she's taking a deal and pleading guilty, or moving closer to an actual trial.
"I get the impression you are not going to accept the DA's offer," Judge Schwartz said. "That's the feeling I got."
A judge not associated with this case tells me Lindsay made a huge blunder by not accepting the offer.
"Lindsay's preliminary hearing and probation violation case will now be heard at the same time," my source said. "So even if Lindsay is found not guilty of stealing she will be found guilty for her probation violation and sent to jail."

...Wesley Snipes got three years in jail, its time for Lohan, she has been breaking the law, stealing etc. for three years now, do the time.
I'll believe it when they take her away crying in handcuffs.

Most celebrities have been getting away with breaking the law for far too long, Charlie Sheen is the latest example. How can this guy get his hands on all of the coke he's snorting & not get caught. Impossible. Let'a not forget Paris Hilton's drug issues. However at some point someone has to be made into an example & unfortunately for her it seems that Lohan will be that person. Now law enforcement has to follow through & apply the law to the rest of them as they would to "Joe & Josephine Public" when appropriate & necessary.

I have a hard time having any regard for somebody wasting their life with drugs the way Charlie does but at least he showed up for work and "Two-and-a-Half Men" didn't suffer for it. Charlie's escapades made things more "colorful" than CBS would have liked, but what he did he did to himself. Lindsay, on the other hand, has driven and continues to drive recklessly (got a speeding ticket last week), hit a baby in a stroller, has a history of stealing, has givig the justice system "the finger" and not just on her nails, and the list goes on and on and on. The most important difference is that you hear Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez saying that Charlie is sick and what he has is likea cancer. Lindsay and her entourage are blaming everything and everbody else for her problems. Both have serious problems but, if you're keeping score, it Charlie 1, Lindsay 0.
rehab, one year, you lucky little wench, or just go the hell away. how many of us out here would love the chances you have to start new and kick the addiction?

Terrified that she may actually have to deal with the consequences of her actions? Lindsay, honey, it's not as bad as all that, do your time, get out, and hopefully you'll be a better person for it. Learn from your mistakes.

Carting people off to jail/shaming people for their addictions, their self destructiveness/emotional problems is so Draconian. Maybe if we, as a society, reduced the shame and abuse and punishment that we heap on addicts they'd be more likely to admit their problems and address them in a healthy way.

I agree. Alot of laws forbid people convicted of drug felonies (and only drug felonies) from getting student loans and things of that nature while any other felon can go ahead and get that help. Thats a big reason why addicts keep getting pulled back into the system.
BULLCORN
Well your addictions are my problem when your driving a car on a public road and steal stuff from stores...........Put the skank in jail.
Are we talking about the same person??? Lohan has been sent to rehab but it has done little to help her stay on the right side of the law. Any concessions to her gives her the impression the law is meaningless and she goes about her merry way doing as she pleases. She needs behavior modification therapy at this point and not rehab. In other words, she needs to experience the negative consequences of her behavior and that's where she has the best hope of long term change. Btw, what does stealing a necklace have to do w/ drug addiction in her case? Nada.
Or maybe we'd have alot more druggies in the world.
Go bury your head in the sand along with the milkoholic.
The little Nit Wit needs to be terrified. She should do her time just like any other citizen would have to.

again...do we really care what happens to this snot-nosed, spoiled drama queen? i hope the judge will have enough sense for her sake to throw the book at her! she obviously can't get clean and sober on her own, mostly cos judge after judge turns a blind eye and opens a fat deep pocket.

Lindsay knew what was at stake. She did it to herself.
She is not above the law.

She should be terrified. She's gonna face some humility and reprecussions for her behavior--finally. She's a spoiled, pampered, little bi**** who's never been held fully accountable for her bad behavior and it's a tough lesson to learn. Most 7 yr. olds have been there.... Maybe it's what it will take to save her from herself.
