CBS Shuts Down 'Two and a Half Men' Following Day of Charlie Sheen Rants

After two shocking and barely coherent outbursts from Charlie Sheen on Thursday, CBS and Warner Bros. Television shut down production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the rest of the season.

Early Thursday, Sheen slammed 'Two and a Half Men' co-creator Chuck Lorre, calling him a clown in a radio interview. Later in the day, in an interview with TMZ.com, he went even further saying he hated Lorre.

"I violently hate Chaim Levine [Chuck Lorre]. He's a stupid, stupid little man and a p***y punk that I'd never want to be like. That's me being polite. That piece of s**t took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket and, most importantly, my second family -- my crew's pocket. You can tell him one thing: I own him," Sheen ranted to TMZ.

Mere hours after Sheen's second interview, CBS and Warner Bros. Television released the following statement: "Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season." TMZ was the first to report the news.

Say what you will about Lindsay, at least her behavior seems for the most part largely SELF destructive. Sadly, Charlie's crash and burn is hurting everyone around him, both personally and professionally. Charlie, if anyone is taking money out of your family's and crew members' pockets it's you for singlehandedly bringing the show to a screeching halt.

Will he still be paying the crew's salaries? It's too bad they couldn't finish the season without him so that we the viewers get closure for the series. They could say he drove off a cliff the way his cars did and let the others shine for a few episodes. Just a thought...

Really, Charlie, just how stupid are you? That show was your last, best hope of being a real actor. Anyone who would take a chance on a doped up sex-aholic like you to anchor a new movie or television show deserves their bankruptcy.
I enjoyed your show in the early years, but you blew it away, even with excellant talent backing you. Oh well, children will be children..

It's about time that he learn respect. His children shouldn't be disrespect by their Father action. Charlie needs to grow up and stop making the entire world think he is a loser.

I guess a boat load of money isn't even enough to keep an idiots mouth shut. I hope he has a good time in retirement, because I don't see another network picking him up after this little shindig! If he's got any savings to speak of it'll probably go straight up his nose. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

I guess CS finally went too far even for Hollywood standards. His obscenely selfish, arrogant and possibly anti-semitic behavior finally caught up with him. Bashing his bosses was the final straw. If they continue even another season would be an insult to all the decent hard working people in the film/TV industry.
