Clooney: I've Had 'Too Many Chicks, Too Many Drugs' for Political Run
George Clooney opened up in a recent
Newsweek article about his left-wing views and activism, but assures the eager public that there won't be a political run for him in the future, according to
E! Online.
We guess we can put away our "Clooney 4 Prez" signs now.
One reason the handsome Hollywood star claims he wouldn't succeed in office? He's just too honest.
"I didn't live my life the right way for politics, you know," he told Newsweek. "I f**ked too many chicks and did too many drugs, and that's the truth."
He believes honesty should be the policy when it comes to political campaigns and knows buried skeletons will always come out of the woodwork.
The actor claims if he ever were to run for office he "would start from the beginning by saying, 'I did it all. I drank the bong water. Now let's talk about the issues.'"
While he may not be running for office, he's not straying too far from politics. Clooney is currently directing and starring in a new film, 'The Ides of March,' which centers around a dirty political campaign.
And while we might never get the chance to see Clooney in office, there's two other roles we won't see him in either: husband or dad. He
revealed on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' last month that he never plans to marry again, while girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis told Italian Cosmopolitan that the couple doesn't plan on having any
children.

Too many chicks and drugs, that didnt stop George W. Bush.
That would be a good thing.

Did you miss the point of the story? He said he is not running for office.
George is a honest man, its sad that hes one of the last good ones. Back when I was young, it was the way it was, lying was a huge sin. And everyone knew it, and most people lived by the basic rules. To be honest, and respectful to others, and our selves. Its extremely sad, that this is not the way people are any more. It seems to me, the more a person lies the better of they are in ways. I miss the old days, when we could trust others.
At least I see a very select few, still know the way it suppose to be. George is a good man, too good for politics.
I hope he doesnt change.

I applaud George Clooney for his honesty. Ge's never been my favorite actor, but he's far, far better man than half the sitting congressmen and rrespresentatives in D.C. They do everything Clooney does and then lie about it. People who call Clooney a loser simply don't know the definition of the word. He's successful, enormously rich and I LOVE his politics.GO GEORGE!!!!!

Just who we don't need as president, a man who refers to sexual relations he's had with
women as f-ing chicks.

Wish I could say this is a big loss for the country - that George won't be running for political office - but, well, it's simply not.

And to do it publicly - no respect for himself or others is the bottom line.

I think i would vote for him. Then we could look at the issues and not spend so much time digging up his past! Poor Obama people still dont believe he was born in the United States.
