In a candid interview on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' that aired Thursday, David Arquette opened up about his marriage to Courteney Cox, their separation and whether or not he believes they'll get back together, reports.

Although the couple publicly announced their separation in September 2010, Arquette revealed they'd been discussing the possibility of splitting for many months.

The 'Scream 4' actor told Oprah that "[Courteney] came down really depressed one day, and was like 'I'm really just not happy.'" How did he feel about that?

"I felt really sort of abandoned at that point," Arquette admitted. "A deal is a deal." (That phrase is engraved on the couple's wedding bands.) "I was angry with... the dynamic of our relationship," he said. "I was angry with my wife."

The 39-year-old actor said he got even angrier when he started hearing rumors about Cox having a relationship with an actor on her show, 'Cougar Town.' "There were tabloid stories coming out about her and someone on her show having, you know, an affair," he told the talk show host.
