Giuliana Rancic 'Fine' With Making Less Than Seacrest

It's no secret that Ryan Seacrest is one of the highest paid hosts on TV, earning more than $15 million a year from just his deal with E! television. Of course, he's worth every penny, but should Giuliana Rancic, his co-host on the nightly newscast, be paid similarly? Oh yeah, we went there!

"That's funny, but I will tell you this," Giuliana told me on my HDNet show. "He made an overall deal with the network, so it is definitely more valuable than my deal. The fact that before Ryan came, I took the show from zero to number one had nothing to do with Ryan."

That last line was said with her comic timing firmly in place, but she wanted to insist she's realistic about the contracts.

"It's fine, he has an overall deal. He's obviously a huge name, and I do fine."

Is this simply another example of a man earning more than a woman for the same job? Let me know what you think, but keep in mind Giuliana made E! News a big hit long before Mr. Seacrest and his millions turned up.

Shes worthless. All she cares about is fitting into a size 2. Shes so egotistical, and wonders why she cant carry a child. she just doesnt deserve to be a mom. He likes are a dime a dozen.

Good for you Giuliana for not being jealous and petty of Ryan's salary!! You made a very valid point in that Ryan does a lot of work with E!. He executive produces other shows on E! like the series of Kardashian shows. He's not married and seems to work 24/7 (what a life, or lack there of). Money ain't everything! Best to you and your hubby. When people get older and look back on their lives, most say they wish they had spent more time with famaily and friends...I've never heard anyone say that they wished they spent more time on the job!!

@courtney, you're right. Ryan does a lot...he does a radio show, American Idol, etc. And Giuliana may never have kids. She has admitted her love of working out and keeping her weight down; this can sometimes work against you if you're trying to concieve. Plus, trying to have your first child at age 40+ is no easy thing.

Wow you guys are really rude and cruel. What does this article have to do with looks, weight and babies? They are both talented she does not seem to care that he makes more. She has been trying to have a child and is having a hard time. I dont think you would find it funny if you were in her position. Shame on you for your rude remarks..You know what they say about karma..
