Figure Skater Tonya Harding and Husband Welcome Baby Boy

Former figure skating champion Tonya Harding is the proud mother of a new baby boy.

It has been reported on Oregon Live that Harding, 40, gave birth to the baby on Saturday. It is the first child for Harding and her husband Joseph Jens Price.

A friend of Harding is quoted saying that the everyone in the family is healthy and happy.

The friend also says, "She's always wanted a baby. She was told she could never have a child ... and guess what? It really is a miracle, and she really is very happy."

It was also revealed that Harding required a C-section and remained hospitalized until Monday.

Harding made headlines in 1994 when her ex-boyfriend and bodyguard hired a man to injure fellow figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. Her leg injury led to her withdraw from the national championship and sparked an international controversy.

After much drama regarding her knowledge of the plot, and her admittance to not coming forward when she found out about it, Harding pleaded guilty to hindering the prosecution. She was then banned from amateur skating and has since completed probation.

We are all human and do make mistakes. At least, the child will have two loving parents unlike nearly eighty per cent of the American black population of 'breeders' who are born out of wedlock. Thank you Lyndon Johnson and all of your fellow liberals who gave us "The Great Society" and who have turned a bling eye to the unintended consequences of your 'do-gooder' programs.

Tonya Harding had a mother who smacked her around a lot -- at public skating rinks. I think Tonya, who's been through a lot, will make a fine mother. Anyway, I'd rather go for a beer with Tonya than with that uppity Nancy Kerrigan!

How does someone get a job doing this reporting? I would think you need to do your research and your homework before you can be a so called journalist. First, Tonya was not a champion figure skater. What did she ever win? She made it to the Olympics, but lost bad to Nancy Kerrigan (bad knee and all). Second, that wasn't her boyfriend, it was her first husband that conspired with the bodyguard to take out Nancy Kerrigan. Do your homework dummies.
