Friends: CBS Can Beg, Charlie Is 'Never' Coming Back

CBS and Warner Bros. finally tranquilized the elephant in the room Thursday, saying in a statement that "based on the totality of
Charlie Sheen's statement, conduct and condition" they were
shutting down production of 'Two and a Half Men,' TV's top comedy, for the remainder of the season. But if the goal is to one day welcome Charlie back to the top-rated show, sources close to the erratic actor tell me he wouldn't return to the set even if they begged.
"Charlie is furious that they have done this," a close friend of the actor tells me. "He has never been late for work, and what he does and says in his private life is none of [CBS's] business. He feels like they have made billions off him, and now they dare to pull his show just because they didn't like an interview he did."
I'm not defending Charlie, but it does seem bizarre that CBS was happy to turn a blind eye when their biggest actor was scaring porn stars and inhaling booze and drugs, but now that he has very publicly dissed his show's creator, Chuck Lorre ("a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk"), production has been halted.
What's Next? PopEater and RadarOnline.com Talk It Through:
Charlie's most incendiary comments were made to TMZ when, talking about Lorre, he said, "That piece of s**t took money out of my pocket, my family's pocket, and, most importantly, my second family -- my crew's pocket. You can tell him one thing: I own him."
And with that, it seems Charlie has decided it's time to move on for good.
"At this moment he would never return to that show even if they begged him," another Charlie insider tells me. "He's given these fools the number one comedy on TV, and their feelings get hurt over a stupid radio interview. Nothing would get him back on that set. It's over. Done."
Well, he does have a little thing called a
contract, so we'll see about that. In the meantime, Charlie is already claiming that he's
taking his talents to HBO for an "epic" show called 'Sheen's Corner.' Not surprisingly, a rep from HBO tells
PopEater that there is
"no truth to this."
Sheen's buddy also tells me that the actor will start "making movies with superstars" again. 'Major League 3'!!!
On Tuesday, I
exclusively reported that
CBS finally had enough of Charlie and were having internal discussions about carrying on 'Two and a Half Men' without its biggest star.
"The big question is can the show survive without Charlie," an insider with direct knowledge of the talks told me. "Would the show take a big hit? Yes, but if they found the right person to replace him it would survive and maybe even grow."
What do you think? Would you watch 'Men' with a Charlie replacement? Should CBS just cut their losses and call it a day?

The producers of hit TV series "Two and a Half Men" canceled the show for the season Thursday, February 24, 2011 after a new outburst by troubled actor Sheen -- who promptly launched another tirade. CBS and Warner Brothers made the announcement after Sheen, who was briefly hospitalized last month following his latest reported booze and drugs-fueled partying mishap, denounced the show's co-creator Chuck Lorre. You guys are missing the point. Chuck Lorre and CBS are making a big mistake that I have made: They are making rash business decisions based on emotion. And they deserve to be upset. I have done that and regretted it - though it felt right at the time. This is business not dating. There's a lot of money at stake. Sadly, Charlie was looking a bit raggedy all season. But, if he shows up for work on time and still gets ratings, so be it. Percentage-wise, what he spent on hookers and drugs in the last 6 months is a bag of groceries to the rest of us. I was in contact with Charlie once a while back, he was polite and a total professional. There are no more "Morals Clauses" in Hollywood contracts. MAybe we need them back?
you sound like a huge tool, his a partier and has money get over it so what if he dosent go to church every Sunday and do charity work, he makes good entertainment and thats his best contribution to mankind.
You are right on target. He is a regular dirt bag. he does have a 20 somithing- daughter( in addition to the younger ones). I feel so sad for all the people burned by this dirt bag. CBC needed the wake up call, for not canceling when Charlie started down this path. I also think CBS can morph the cast into a great spin off.The charcters are all funny and can deliver some great lines.
I have to say I disagree. Charlie Sheens problems are totally separate from the show. hopefully Mr. Sheen will get the help he needs.
the word is spelled "Tsunami" by the way. oh and the T is silent.
I love the show but I think there are many many many capable actors that could do it as well and probaby better. I agree that he needs to buy an island. He is so full of himself that he has ruined the show by all the crap the public see in people and the internet.
'Ahhh your just mad cause you dont make the money he is making...' You could say the same thing about people who criticize Hitler or Stalin. That's a pretty bad excuse to defend your trashy buddy Sheen. Hes a pathetic loser and so are you.
Hey ! I would be glad to help out on the Island! When can I Start?
stfu....its HIS busines....jealous?
Ummm I am definitely not defending his actions, but did you ever take a moment to think that maybe he isn't so happy with himself? This isn't a caricature or a cartoon; this is a human being who appears to be pushing the envelope, probably hoping that someone will take the time to open it.
Glad you folks aren't part of a support group.
I'm not sure about the sunami thing but this dude certainly needs and island and possibly a full length mirror.
He should be so grateful they haven't cut their losses way before this BS.
If not a sunami, maybe a stungun!!! Ride the lightnin Charlie. soooooo sad for his great Dad!
RCAROL
I AGREE 100% WITH YOU
NEXT FOR SHEEN?KILL HIMSELF WITH ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
Charlie, I can't speak for the others but you have made family humour in areas where normally we dare not seek to tread and it has been great. I have winced from now and then but have really enjoyed your show and you, the honest man. I am a chanell searcher always looking for something deep and meaningful but have been drwan to switch you on whenever the Show has been there and setlled down to what you all gve us. Risque but great family humour. The very best of luck to you Charlie and long may you be who you are . And thanks for all the laughs you have given me and my very best to all the beauriful cast that has appeared with you. Absolutely ten stars. Marc.
Hope they do not, this guy is a loser and a fraud, insurance co. needs to investigate his not ONE but TWO "stolen from his own garage then dumped in a canyon" luxury vehicles. He gets more insurance money from a stolen and totaled car than he would in a trade-in, you understand.....not that he needs it.
HE HAS FRIENDS--REALLY?
CAN'T IMAGINE!
He can take that Lindsey Lohan with him to that island; they can both wither away.
It like this People.
The show is over without Sheen.
It seems the public is two faced about the whole thing.
That doesn't suprise me about people in this country. As soon as someone messes up everyone is battering them.Everyone should take a long look in the mirror and if you see someone perfect then good for you.
His show wouldn't be number 1 without you people watching it.Yeah that means all you haters out there. There is not one person out there that can tell me that show doesn't make you laugh. If it doesn't then you better check yourself for a pulse.
I suggest everyone just direct your hate to the killers and rapists in the world and maybe help someone in need once in a while. You never know your life might change for the better.
If you idiots would turn off the TV for a second put down your stupid magazines you would know the person to be mad at is CHUCK LORRE. Yes Charlie has had his issues but Chuck Lorre trashed him in public (CBS told Charlie not to attack back or they would cancell the show) Chuck Lorre spreaded lies about Charlie! Did anyone know Charlie payed the crew of the show extra out of his pocket including the other co-star? Chuck Lorre Made 5 times what Charlie did an episode and refused to give the crew a raise.
Charlie was tired of putting up with Lorre and the money wasn't worth sitting there while someone is publicly trashing you and have to take it just to keep your job. B.S. Good Job Charlie for standing up for yourself. Let the idiot mainstream media play clips of the interview and not all of it. Let them IGNORE the remarks from Lorre. When people shut off the tv and actually research before they talk they will find the truth!
Ahhh your just mad cause you dont make the money he is making...I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agegapsin gles.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends.. Just love it
Lets stop with The Charlie put downs. The man is an addict, in denial, and deserving of our prayers. He has much to atone for, yet...don't we all. CBS probably did the right thing in cutting him loose. Perhaps Mr. Sheen will find his bottom soon, and work to repair the damage to his career, and ultimately his health.
