Late-night funny girl Chelsea Handler is making the jump from talk show to sitcom. The comedian has joined the NBC pilot based on her autobiography, E! Online reports.

But don't expect Handler to relive her younger years herself. She'll play her own big sister in show, which is based on Handler's book 'Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea.'

Former 'That '70s Show' star Laura Prepon will star in the pilot as Chelsea, and the actress is hopeful the network will order the series.

"We start in a couple weeks," Prepon said. "I hope NBC gets behind it. There's a lot of buzz. It's different and edgy."
