Countess: Bethenny Is Not Missed on 'Housewives'

'Real Housewives of New York City' star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps doesn't miss having Bethenny Frankel around the Bravo hit anymore, and she reveals to me the real reason behind the delay in the new season.

"To tell you the truth, no!" she told me on my HDNet show when asked if she misses Bethenny. "She's doing her own thing now, so I wish her luck. Very happy for her. And you know, we have a new housewife now, so on to new and different things."

The countess tells me there is no truth to reports that the upcoming season of 'NYC' was postponed because it is boring, rather she explained that Bravo needed extra time to edit it because its so full of excitement.

"Well, what's going on is that there is so much drama that they needed more time to edit!"

LuAnn has been busy recording another song and music video, and as you know, she just made her prime-time acting debut (half-naked to boot!) in 'Law & Order SVU.'

"It wasn't easy laying naked with just a sheet covering me in front of Mariska Hargitay," the countess tells me.

Guess what old "countess" lol, LuAnn, one good thing about Bethenney not being on the HWNY anymore, is WE DO NOT HAVE TO WATCH the rest of you fools. Bethanney was the only one worth watching. She has HER OWN SHOW NOW, no need for the other's freak's, like yourself, to be seen. LOL LuAnn you are looked at in the sam way we view Kim from Atlanta, just a fool. Isn't your ex's NEW WIFE really the countess now. Like that word means anything. LOL

I agree with you about a bunch of (mostly) ugly self-centered women and I'd like to try missing most of them, especially the phony countess.

Bethanny's departure was the best, get out and she is her own brand.Cookbooks,Skinny Girl, Mother,great Husband and now her own show. She was in your face.. Called it like she saw it.. Now the countless old faded so called Model can maybe catch a few extra scenes. I wonder how she likes living in her studio apt. with the kids and Rosa since she had to sell the townhouse. Besides the only other person that was so cool was Sonja, very cool.. and Jill Zarin should be made into a carpet and sold to the lowest bidder.. just saying

"Countess", my behind. If you get the title through marriage, and get divorced, you no longer are entitled to xall yourself "countess". The only way you remain a countess id if you are born into the title.

Yes...my thoughts exactly. Have watched New York Housewives from the beginning. They all became jealous (with the exception of beautiful Alex) of Bethenny when her star began to shine.

I gave up on this franchise about midway through the second season. They all became insufferable, Bethenny included. Actually, she was the first to make me think that I had better things to do with my time. I can't stand that square-jawed narcissist.

Of course LuAnn doesn't miss Bethenny because Bethenny was THE only housewife worth watching. Now that Bethenny is on to bigger and better things, LuAnn might feel the attention can be dragged back towards her. Without Bethenny the show is nothing.
