Countess: Bethenny Is Not Missed on 'Housewives'

'Real Housewives of New York City' star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps doesn't miss having Bethenny Frankel around the Bravo hit anymore, and she reveals to me the real reason behind the delay in the new season.

"To tell you the truth, no!" she told me on my HDNet show when asked if she misses Bethenny. "She's doing her own thing now, so I wish her luck. Very happy for her. And you know, we have a new housewife now, so on to new and different things."

The countess tells me there is no truth to reports that the upcoming season of 'NYC' was postponed because it is boring, rather she explained that Bravo needed extra time to edit it because its so full of excitement.

"Well, what's going on is that there is so much drama that they needed more time to edit!"

LuAnn has been busy recording another song and music video, and as you know, she just made her prime-time acting debut (half-naked to boot!) in 'Law & Order SVU.'

"It wasn't easy laying naked with just a sheet covering me in front of Mariska Hargitay," the countess tells me.

Bethanny seems more "real" as a human being. The "former" countess (I don't beleive you can retain the title once you are no longer married to the count) is really just sad. She has no talent, I don't know how old she claims to be but, she appears to be in her mid-fifties and that is too old for her silly singing and 2 line acting gig. Grow up Lu-Ann and set a better example for your children, especially your daughter.

I doubt Bethanny has looked back once after her stint w/ RHNY. She has way too much going for her now than to bother w/ such "pettiness". All the best to you Bethanny and your family.

Who needs to tune into RHNY when the only one worth watching now has her own show? Bethenny is smart, funny, witty and interesting. She's also more "real" than all of the others put together. So glad she cut herself loose from those fake, jealous, insecure and shallow old ladies. They are so jealous of Bethenny's fame and the fact that they couldn't parlay their pathetic lives into their own shows.

Don't networks offer shows to people who attract viewers? Hmm? Wonder why Bethany got her own show and LuAnn didn't? They must know something WE know! Bethany Rocks!

isn't funny what shape most families, not to mention the economy as a whole, are in and we see these women all across the United States act like they have problems? I guess it just shows money can't buy you love or happiness and how much you have to spend to not have either.

I loved HWof NY ..but, Jill made me stop watching it. She is so full of herself, if not for her rich husband who the hell would Jill be .. nobody. I like Ramona, Alex and Sonia seems to be getting the same as Jill and the Countess. Bethany's show was good but now its boring. And to tell the truth who cares anyway. These women have so much money and time on their hands they dont deal with reality. Get a real job broads! See what life is really about, and its not whats in your pocketbook or closet...get it?

I loved the show because of Bethany. she was the only one that gave it depth. All the others are very shallow. The Countess needs to get a real life, its over, give it up. start fresh! There is more to life than a title. the show will not last without her. As for Kelly, very dull. need to replace her.

Luann, our opinion matters (We the audience/customer) not yours. Bethanny was who we loved on here. She made things exciting, you made them tacky by your attacks on Bethanny! Well, she's got her own show and now we dont have to tune into you! Good luck with that!

Bethany was the only good part of watching your show. She is intelligent, quick witted, knows how to earn a living on her own, ect. The so called Countess needs to give up her little crown and act normal. And Jill was such a total fool wearing her little ice skating outfit during one of the parties. Alex is wonderful !!!! And the bug eyed woman is just flat out scary to look at !

LuAnn needs to get down to reality. She has kids that she really needs to spend time with. We watched her thinking going out and promoting herself was more important than spending time with her children. She can't sing, loves to stir up trouble and then step back and play the innocent. Her fake "airs" make everyone think she is a huge joke!
