Countess: Bethenny Is Not Missed on 'Housewives'

'Real Housewives of New York City' star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps doesn't miss having Bethenny Frankel around the Bravo hit anymore, and she reveals to me the real reason behind the delay in the new season.

"To tell you the truth, no!" she told me on my HDNet show when asked if she misses Bethenny. "She's doing her own thing now, so I wish her luck. Very happy for her. And you know, we have a new housewife now, so on to new and different things."

The countess tells me there is no truth to reports that the upcoming season of 'NYC' was postponed because it is boring, rather she explained that Bravo needed extra time to edit it because its so full of excitement.

"Well, what's going on is that there is so much drama that they needed more time to edit!"

LuAnn has been busy recording another song and music video, and as you know, she just made her prime-time acting debut (half-naked to boot!) in 'Law & Order SVU.'

"It wasn't easy laying naked with just a sheet covering me in front of Mariska Hargitay," the countess tells me.

LuAnn really is one of the most annoying housewives of all time. I do love to watch train wrecks but usually skip over any scenes with her. She is just plain obnoxious. Nothing entertaining about her.

Bethenny's charisma is that she is "real" in her reaction to situations. She speaks her mind. She is not a fake dried up old prune like Count-less and Jill who have nothing interesting about them so they critizise the others. I feel for Alex she will be left alone with this wolf pack. I certainly won't be watching them.

I must be in the minority here because I'm looking foward to the new season of New York Housewives. I thought all of them were interesting and my favorite was Alex the one married to Simon with the two little boys. Simon was always hilarious!!

I stopped watching RHWoNY after the horrible way Jill treated Bethenny. I was excited to see what Bethenny's show would be like, and I have to say it was great and I coulnd't wait until the following week to see what would happen next. I'm looking forward to "Bethenny, Ever Afer!" She is hysterical to watch. I have no interest in ever watching another episode of RHWNY, the ladies just aren't a pleasant group to watch.

all of those housewives shows are taking up precious channel time we could be watching obummer screwing up the nation or cartoons or even I love lucy reruns, PLEASE Take them ALL OFF , who cares about a bunch of old ladies trying to look and be young

"CountLESS" was the right word when Mario said it on the show. LouAnn, you cannot sing act or even wish to hold a candle to Bethany. Now said, I will watch the new shows to see how it swings. But if it is boring and sucks...I am out of there!

Really enjoyed Bethanny. Liked Jill despite their clashes. The other New Yorkers- well,they didn't do anything for me.Much as I would be a blank to them But Bethanny and Jill and I, we might actually be able laugh some together.

Countless is so fake and please STOP singing!!! You are HORRIBLE!!!! Love watching Bethany's new season. Have not even tuned into the RH of NYC this season and have no plans to do so. Bethany was the only reason I watched it so imagine my happiness when she got her own show and no longer needed to be tortured with the rest of the "Real Housewives".

I thought I was the only person in the world who thought the "countess" was a man in season 1. Thanks to all who thought likewise. As far as not missing Bethanny - sounds like the ugly green monster rearing its head.
