Kelsey Grammer, Kayte Walsh to Wed on Broadway

Kelsey Grammer is set to tie the knot with fiancee Kayte Walsh this afternoon in quite a creative setting: a Broadway playhouse.

According to TMZ, the actor -- who recently divorced 'Real Housewife' Camille Grammer -- will be married at New York's Longacre Theater where he just wrapped a yearlong performance in 'La Cage Aux Folles.'

Sources say the ceremony will begin at 3:30PM this afternoon and security will be extremely tight, with guards checking invitations and IDs.

A reception at the historic Plaza Hotel will follow the theatrical ceremony, where guests will dine on lobster, goat cheese truffles and braised beef shortribs -- just to name a few items on the lavish menu. And that's only for the dinner portion of the evening. A separate menu has been prepared for the after-party.

In addition, the couple will have a cake that's over 55 inches tall by cake designer Silvia Weinstock, according to RadarOnline.com. And the flavor? Well, it may not be traditional, but Walsh, who is a vegetarian, made the request.

"It's carrot cake!" Weinstock told Radar. "It's unusual. But obviously she's very comfortable in her skin, and that's what she wants so that's what she's going to have."

The "showstopper" cake will feature cascading flowers and ivory cream.

But such extravagance comes with a price tag. Sources told TMZ that the couple is dishing out $400 per person for everyone to celebrate with them in style.

One person who won't be joining the couple this weekend is Grammer's ex-wife, Camille. The pair were married for 13 years before Grammer left her for Walsh last year -- a drama that was publicly played out on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' Their divorce was finalized earlier this month.

"I have a great many mixed feelings about today -- I'm sad for what was, yet excited for the road ahead," she said the day divorce was finalized, wishing Kelsey and Kayte "love and happiness in their new marriage."

Camille will be busy this weekend prepping for Sunday night's Academy Awards, where she'll be reporting from the red carpet for CNN.

i cannot believe CNN would hire Camille. I refuse to watch because this woman has nothing intelligent or intelligible to say. Her vocabulary and thought structure is so limited. Who would haev decided to hire her for such a gig--ridiculous. Another obvious attempt to get ratings with the most hated housewife. but, times are changing adn your folks are not keeping up--people are tiring of seeing these reality stars that are not well like. They are more apt now to turn the channel and watch something bette and more thought out. Way to go CNN--a bunch of idiots in the entertainment department and they convinced everyone is was a good gig.

I think she did a pretty good job on Housewives of Beverly Hills.. I wonder how well you would do in her situation I am glad people are getting to know her.She is very generous with people.You forget she took care of him for a long time. Now it's her time to shine. That girl looks like his daughter. Do you really think a young girl that young really loves him. Old men are fools to think that a young girl wouldn't rather have a tight body young man than a saggy skinned old one.How can they look in the mirror and say she really loves me. They are such fools. I think Camille did love him. The newness will wear off and she will just have a saggy skin old man.

Good luck Kelsey and Kayte. The reception menu sounds really delicious. You know folks, everyone has a right to love who they choose, to try and grab all the happiness they can in this life. No one else is hurt by this, I just don't understand all the nastiness and mean remarks constantly made here.

I love the show Housewives of Beverly Hills. His ex wife I do NOT like. Altho I will say she was there for him when he needed her through heart attacks and his mother dying, on and on. I dont think she deserved what he did. Weird thing to me this girl looks like his ex wife. Blonde headed slim. That must have been a hell of a flight he was on when he met her!

Victoia,, I know what you mean. Most people have grown so bitter its scarey. Some think Kelsey should have stayed with that wife of his, even though it was a loveless marriage, for the kids sake..As if it would not have had any effect on them.
Kelsey's ex didnt even carry those kids of theirs, she had another woman to carry them for her, so it would not mess uo her body.. they both admitted to not loving each other, but that doesnt seem to matter to some.

I used to worry about what my kids read, and wrote on here, but its not the kids. It is the adults that have grown so bitter, and down right cruel, its sad.

While I don't condemn divorce per se, I do not like how he treated his now ex-wife, already having another woman waiting in the wings before they even had a divorce. That's just tacky. I also wonder about the morals and personal values of a woman who goes through with something like this. But I guess they deserve each other; she'll wake up next to an old geezer every morning, and he'll have to pay her 2 years from now.
