Kelsey Grammer, Kayte Walsh to Wed on Broadway

Kelsey Grammer is set to tie the knot with fiancee Kayte Walsh this afternoon in quite a creative setting: a Broadway playhouse.

According to TMZ, the actor -- who recently divorced 'Real Housewife' Camille Grammer -- will be married at New York's Longacre Theater where he just wrapped a yearlong performance in 'La Cage Aux Folles.'

Sources say the ceremony will begin at 3:30PM this afternoon and security will be extremely tight, with guards checking invitations and IDs.

A reception at the historic Plaza Hotel will follow the theatrical ceremony, where guests will dine on lobster, goat cheese truffles and braised beef shortribs -- just to name a few items on the lavish menu. And that's only for the dinner portion of the evening. A separate menu has been prepared for the after-party.

In addition, the couple will have a cake that's over 55 inches tall by cake designer Silvia Weinstock, according to RadarOnline.com. And the flavor? Well, it may not be traditional, but Walsh, who is a vegetarian, made the request.

"It's carrot cake!" Weinstock told Radar. "It's unusual. But obviously she's very comfortable in her skin, and that's what she wants so that's what she's going to have."

The "showstopper" cake will feature cascading flowers and ivory cream.

But such extravagance comes with a price tag. Sources told TMZ that the couple is dishing out $400 per person for everyone to celebrate with them in style.

One person who won't be joining the couple this weekend is Grammer's ex-wife, Camille. The pair were married for 13 years before Grammer left her for Walsh last year -- a drama that was publicly played out on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' Their divorce was finalized earlier this month.

"I have a great many mixed feelings about today -- I'm sad for what was, yet excited for the road ahead," she said the day divorce was finalized, wishing Kelsey and Kayte "love and happiness in their new marriage."

Camille will be busy this weekend prepping for Sunday night's Academy Awards, where she'll be reporting from the red carpet for CNN.

Why do these idiot celebrities keep getting married over and over? I just don't get it. So in a few years the new bride will get a 20 million settlement. Sign a prenup and just live together. If you truly love each other than a marriage certificate is a moot point. Grammer is in his 60's, what does he need marriage for at his age. Las vegas is now setting up the line regarding how long this one will last. I say 4 years tops.

Adam - not a huge deal, but Kelsey is 55, not in his 60s. "In his 60s" just sounds a lot worse IMO anyway. I have to believe it's their business. Camille said on the 'Housewives' show that "Kelsey cut her off ten years ago" Not a marriage I would want to live in. No love there. For those asking if this new wife to be is pregnant: she was pregnant and miscarried months ago. Seems Kelsey has been in a rush to marry this girl since he met her. I don't personally know them, so all I can add is that I hope they are indeed happy, and my prayers have to remain with the children. They are the ones who are going to 'pay' for these adults acting like children. As far as Kelsey's work, myself, I'll just continue to watch my Frasier DVD set and try to remember him as a very funny and kind man rather than what I see going on now, again, especially as far as the children. I can only pray that God gets them through all of the insanity that they have been and will be living through. It's always the innocents who are hurt and pay for adult actions the most.

Is this Kelsey's 5th or 6th marriage? Obviously this new wife, Kayte, is not too bright, or all she sees is dollar signs. Who would marry someone with such a bad track record? I'm sure he had her sign a prenup. I wonder how much money he has left for another wife with Camille's settlement, spousal support, and child support. I can totally understand why he wouldn't want to be married to Camille any longer, but why would he jump out of the frying pan and right into the fire. I guess he has never heard the old saying, "If it is love it will last...". What harm would it have done for him to wait more than a month to remarry? Is this one pregnant?

I'm tired of the world blaming the single person in breaking up a marriage. It's up to the person who took the "vow" to respect,appreciate and respect their role. Kelsey is a disgusting pig. His new/old/every marriage is a sham. He is and will always be a pedophile. I hope his kids are taken away from this self-centered, selfish loser. I also hope his new wife got a blood test before marriage. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets more than one STD from her new "Grandpa". Maybe now that he's married the next victim, we won't have to look at him again for awhile.
