Barack Obama Recalls Favorite Movie Music at the Oscars

Barack Obama is a number of things: the President of the United States, a dedicated family man and, apparently, a big fan of Oscar music.

The commander-in-chief unexpectedly appeared on tonight's Academy Awards broadcast to give his vote for the best song in film, choosing Herman Hupfeld's romantic classic 'As Time Goes By' from 'Casablanca.'

Following his announcement, presenter Kevin Spacey gave over the stage to singer-composer Randy Newman, who is nominated for his 20th Academy Award this year for 'We Belong Together' from 'Toy Story 3.'

Following a short performance of his Oscar-nominated song, Mandy Moore hit the stage with fellow singer and 'Chuck' star Zachary Levi, where the duo performed an excerpt from 'I See the Light' from animated hit 'Tangled.'

No wonder we have over 9% unemployment, a rapidly increasing debt crisis, and a stagnant economy. Our President wastes his time and our money throwing extravagant parties at the WH, rubbing elbows with celebrities, and appearing on award shows. Real change with occur in 2012 when we vote someone into the Oval Office who cares about improving the lives of the American people.

You have to wonder....there are SO MANY THINGS GOING WRONG in the USA. Our president is having 'mowtown parties' he is doing stuff for the oscars. When two people in the USA get into a fight he invites them over to discuss over a beer. When there is turmoil and war in afganistan and ALL OF THE MIDDLE east he is doing nothing. He seems more into himself than our country.

Why did Obama appear on the Oscar telecast? I guess those libnuts is Hollyweird just HAD to find a way to include their beloved Obama in this and put him on the screen with the rest of their "stars"...And I'm sure, with his ego, he loved the idea. Pathetic.
