Back in December, Anne Hathaway, soon-to-be Academy Awards co-host, surprised the viral singing sensations in the P.S. 22 Chorus, announcing that they'd be singing at the Oscars. In honor of the kids' upcoming biggest performance yet, we've combed through music teacher Gregg Breinberg's YouTube channel, where all of P.S. 22's awesome videos are housed -- and there are a lot, over 450! -- to find our favorites.
The group's diverse catalogue includes songs by Lady Gaga, Cat Stevens, and some special celebrity guest appearances. Check out which ones made our list after the jump!
Lady Gaga-- 'Just Dance' Why We Love It: Who doesn't love Gaga? Even if the original version of 'Just Dance' isn't exactly appropriate for 5th graders, Mr. B. made it family-friendly by changing some of the lyrics. And when you see how much fun the P.S. 22 kids have while singing this song, you'll be glad he did.
Coldplay -- 'Viva La Vida'
Why We Love It: This was one of the first videos that made P.S. 22 so famous. Plus, April gives Chris Martin a run for his money on the solo. She totally kills it!
Kylie Minogue -- 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' featuring Kylie Minogue herself
Why We Love It: Kylie Minogue is super famous. Yet she still found time to trek all the way out to Staten Island to be accompanied by the raddest fifth graders on the east coast. We think that's the coolest thing any celebrity could do. The only thing that would make it better is if they did 'The Locomotion' instead. We all know that's Kylie's true #1 hit.
The Cure -- 'Pictures of You' Why We Love It: Number one, it's The Cure -- 10 year-olds being exposed to one of the greatest bands of all time should be celebrated. Number two, this song is a nice deviation from P.S. 22's more popular pop covers and was recorded on their last day of school before heading off to the sixth grade. So you know those tiny emotive hands were coming from an emotional place. Tear!
Styx -- 'Come Sail Away'
Why We Love It: How many times will you get to hear a bunch of fifth graders belt out "come sail away, come sail away, COME SAIL AWAY WITH MEEEEE" but not butcher it like so many of us have during drunk karaoke? There are also some pretty cute bloopers at the end of the vid. Fast forward to 2:15 for the epic moment.
Cat Stevens -- 'If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out'
Why We Love It: Pretty much for the hipster cred. Mr. B. wears a lot of flannel, so it's not surprising he taught his kids this classic from 'Harold & Maude.' And if this doesn't make you want to get up and dance, we're taking your hipster card away.
Talking Heads -- 'This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)'
Why We Love It: Let it be known, this is one of the greatest songs of all time. And the arrangement the kids and Mr. B. used on this cover is melodic and hauntingly beautiful.
Lady Gaga -- 'Paparazzi' featuring Greyson Chance
Why We Love It: Okay, this might be biased, because weloveGreyson Chance here at PopEater. But that aside, this video is great. From the fact that he surprised the kids to the one girl screaming "It's Greyson Chance!!" when they realize who was pushing their music teacher off his stool, it reminds us that these kids, however famous they are in their own right, still get a little bit starstruck, too.
Badly Drawn Boy -- 'The Shining'
Why We Love It: Some of you may not recognize this one right off the bat, but it's one of the most popular songs from the 2002 Hugh Grant movie 'About A Boy'. 'The Shining' just exudes happiness, and you can see it in the soloist's faces. There's no way this won't make you smile.
Tori Amos -- 'Father's Son' featuring Tori Amos herself
Why We Love It: We get to see a true teaching moment, from a music industry veteran. Tori teaches the kids her song line by line, and we get a glimpse into how these kids learn each song. Plus, Mr. B. has corn rows, so there's that.
MGMT -- 'Kids'
Why We Love It: The fist pumping, the little dude on drums. Then there's the humor in it. Kids singing 'Kids.' Adorable.
Alphaville -- 'Forever Young'
Why We Love It: It reminds us that at the end of the day, these kids are still only 10 and 11. They're practically babies! And while they won't be that way forever, their youthful joy is immortalized through all of these amazing videos.

Not everyone wants to spend their time being brainwashed.
Yes that sadens me as "many are called but few are chosen" But I know that God is in control of it all.
