Charlie Sheen to CBS: 'We're at War'

Charlie Sheen sat down with the 'Today Show' for a candid conversation Monday morning and gave some insight into what is no doubt one of the more bizarre celebrity stories in recent memory.

CBS, home to Sheen's sitcom 'Two and a Half Men,' voiced concern over the actor's reported drug binges involving multiple porn stars during the past few months -- concern the actor took offense to, claiming he is at war with CBS.

"[We're] definitely at war. The war is that they are trying to destroy my family, trying to take all my money, leaving me with no means to support my family," Sheen told 'Today.' Watch clips from the interview inside!

Sheen, who (until recently) starred in the hit CBS comedy, is lauded as the highest paid television actor, reportedly making close to $2 million an episode.

Those paydays, however, are now long gone, according to CBS. The network released a statement Friday evening announcing it had halted production on the sitcom for the remainder of the season.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season," the network said in a statement, first reported by TMZ.

Sheen fired back, claiming he's clean of all drugs.

"Look at me, duh ... drug tests don't lie. The scoreboard doesn't lie," he said.

Sheen said that boredom led him to alcohol and drugs. He has also voiced his distaste with Alcoholics Anonymous and said he overcame his addiction problems himself.

"I closed my eyes and made it so with the power of my mind," he said of his new sobriety. The actor completed treatment with an at-home "crisis management center," which he dubbed the "Sober Valley Lodge."

"It's primary patient achieved radical success," he said with a grin, adding that he's not concerned about relapsing. Sheen labeled those who relapse as "trolls" and "weak."

He also claims he'll not pass up a glass a champagne when celebrating, but has "no interest in cocaine."

And as for continuing his Hollywood career, Sheen said he wants to continue working in TV and movies, hinting that the world has yet to see his best work.

"Come on, bro, I won best picture at 20. I wasn't even trying," he said, adding that he'll continue to work on 'Men,' but not without some more pointed comments aimed at show runner Chuck Lorre over the status of the show's scripts and the fate of the cast and crew.

After spewing out direct questions to Lorre -- including "Why is it that when I was ready to return to work, you told me there were no scripts ready to shoot?" -- Sheen read a passage from the AA Handbook about acceptance.

"Accept me, Chuck," Sheen said.

Sheen's rants toward Lorre -- including an alleged anti-Semitic remark -- and his recent radio interviews bashing CBS led to the network's decision to halt production on 'Men.'

The second half of Sheen's 'Today' interview airs Tuesday morning on NBC.

Charlie Sheen had a responsibility to his family and all the people that depended on him for a job - he makes HUGE money and is a total jerk. I hope he never gets another job - I just wish he had to pay all the people their salaries out of his. I will not watch anything that has him in it. SICK SICK SICK!!

Who cares if Charlie is doing drugs. It's his life. It isn't like he's a huge sports figure doing drugs to hit more home runs. He's an entertainer, and if you ask me...This is pretty darn entertaining!!!

Um, it's against the law. I will say it's none of our business. If the man has a death wish, that's his choice. It's just a shame those children will not have a him as a positive role model or possibly any role model if he doesn't stop. And Charlie, you aren't fooling anyone. It's so obvious you are still using.

And I'm glad the network decided not to participate in his demise.

ahh, another poor drug and booze soaked actor who wants sympathy for being too weak to resist the siren song of all those things. The only thing left for him and his group is the hard landing at the end of his fall. He has shown his self to be irresponsible and unreliable and I don't think anyone would want to hire him, especially now. He has done this to his self and I am fresh out of sympathy for him

Charlie doesn't have a drug problem....he has a mental problem! I have a brother with a severe mental disorder, and listening to Charlie talk sounds just like my crazy brother. They can be very entertaining!

Ypur exactly right catwoman, I have a brother that goes off the deep end once in a while and when he does he looks & talks just like Sheen is doing now and he doesn't do drugs or alcohol. It seems like my brother gets that way when he has a lot of stress going on but after a few months he returns back to normal and can be normal for years.

I really didn't care to watch "Network" but now with great enthusiasm the media want to show the sequel starring Charlie Sheen. Isn't it time we stop making heroes out of celebrity addiction misfits. Who's really living the fantasy ? Seems Joe Public forgot that addiction is a disease affiliated with crime, violence, illness and death. For those who had to watch the pee test... FYI.. after detox an addict is twice as vulnerable to overdoes. Let's put some civility and humanity back on the red carpet !!!!! Charlie...get help. You are worth it !!
