Ivanka Trump Plans to Balance Thriving Career With New Baby

Although Ivanka Trump, 29, is busy with her real estate, fashion and jewelry design careers, she is eager to start a family. The daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump initially wanted to wait a few years before having children, but she changed her mind not long after marrying 30-year-old Jared Kushner in October 2009.

"Ivanka has thoroughly enjoyed being an aunt to her brother Donald, Jr. and his wife Vanessa's two children, so she got the bug early," a friend of the family tells PopEater. "She had a strict upbringing herself in a close family and will be a wonderful mother because she puts 1,000 percent into everything she does."

As executive vice president of real estate development and acquisitions at her father's Trump Organization in New York City, Trump hopes to learn how to balance her work and family life.

Trump tweeted in late January that she and Kushner, owner of the New York Observer and a real estate investor, are expecting their first child together. "I have been wanting to share some amazing news with you all for some time ... I'm pregnant," she wrote.

But shortly before her wedding, she indicated to PEOPLE that having children was down the road. "When our time to have a family comes around, I know I will compromise," she said. "But I am not there yet!"

That was then and this is now. The beautiful and brainy -- she graduated summa cum laude in 2004 from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance with a majors in finance and real estate -- former model has since mellowed.

After college, she went right to work: first for the Forest City Ratner Companies in Westchester, N.Y., then for the Trump Organization. Still a tireless workhorse with a net worth of $150 million, according to published reports, Trump is very "happily married" and ready to make time for a family.

In addition to jetting around the world developing condominiums and hotels for the Trump Organization's Hotel Collection, she designs high-end jewelry and popular shoes and handbags for her growing Ivanka Trump brands.

But Trump has learned how to incorporate hard work into married life, and that will soon include parenting. She grew up in a similar situation herself; her mom and dad balanced demanding careers while raising her and siblings Donald Jr. and Eric.

In fact, as a young girl, Trump often assisted both parents with their work projects -- Donald took her to construction sites and to his office, and Ivana flew her to casinos and hotels in Atlantic City.

"My parents have both led non-traditional lifestyles, but they have extremely traditional relationships with their children," she wrote in her 2009 book, 'The Trump Card: Playing to Win In Work And Life.'

With a solid family background and Kushner both supportive of her career and eager to become a parent himself, the timing to have it all may be just right.

Grew up in a "close family" ???? LOL. OK. Daddy cheats. Doesn't care about 3 young kids. Dumps Mom. Marry a bleached dumbo. Has 5 kids with 3 DIFFERENT women. REAL CLOSE FAMILY. Plus her husband's father is a FELON. Ivanka and Don Jr. would be jobless without Daddy.

Sure of course, when you are rich and pay babysitters 24/7, it seems so easy to balance your life. Will she weak up 3-4x in the middle of night to feed the baby, to change the diapers, or calm the baby? Will she do the laundry for the baby? and so on...Hm!
