'Glee' Star Matthew Morrison Releases 'Summer Rain,' An Ode to the Joys of Outdoor Sex

Ludacris wants to do it with you on stage at a sold-out concert. Usher wants to make love in this club. But for Matthew Morrison, sex just isn't any fun unless somebody's getting evicted.

Morrison, whose dulcet tones have previously made Sisqo's 'The Thong Song' sound like children's music on 'Glee,' has just introduced fans to a very, very different side of Mr. Schuester with his first solo single, 'Summer Rain.'

The actor premiered the folksy song, which details his penchant for getting down on rooftops and includes unsubtle descriptions of "touch[ing] you there," on Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning. Morrison said of the track, "I've heard that song so many times. I love it though. It never gets old."

Morrison, who had a brief stint in boy band LMNT during what he's called "the worst year of my life," told Seacrest that he is trying to create a new musical image separate from his 'Glee' character by avoiding cover songs and penning his own music.

"I thought to be taken really as an artist, I had to write my own songs," he told Seacrest. "So that's what I did."

I grew up in Hawaii and as much as I love Morrison on Glee, this song sounds no different than all the "Jawaiian" crap that is played there. If he wrote this song he might want to rethink his position on performing his own music...Hire some writers & try again.

'summer rain'? maybe i'm getting too old....but, i was ready to hear a remake of the original song, 'summer rain' by johnny rivers.
but, after listening to this song......i really did wish it had been the original.
