Corey Haim's death has been overlooked by his peers once again. After being omitted from the SAG Awards' In Memoriam montage in January, Haim was notably missing again from the memoriam segment at the 2011 Oscars. The '80s star, whose credits include 'The Lost Boys,' 'License To Drive' and 'Lucas,' died on March 11, 2010, at the age of 38.
Now, his longtime friend, Corey Feldman is speaking out about the Oscars snub.
"I am gravely disappointed that the public outcry of the voices of Corey's supporters and fans on his omission from the SAG memorial was not heard by the Academy. Corey's films have earned the industry over a half a billion dollars and his work remains an inspiration to young artists world wide," Feldman told PopEater in a statement.
"The fact that politics have interfered with his legacy is a clear indication that the people making decisions in these organizations do not have a handle on who the public adores. Corey dedicated his life to the film industry. The same industry that failed to dedicate even 30 seconds to his memory."

GEt over it..I am sure others were snubbed too..he really wasn't that big of a star...just kind of a LOSER!!!!!!

No, Donna, he wasn't a "loser". He was a man with an addiction that he wasn't strong enough to shake. What stellar award-winning perfomances have *you* done? Obviously he had talent or he wouldn't have had so many roles when he was a kid. I thought he was a great actor, especially for his age. Don't be so evil.
i am still waiting for my fries Corey!
what is this ? The battle of the network corey's
The Academy memorialized River Phoenix at the 66th Awards in 1994. Phoenix's death was directly attributed to a drug overdose. Was he a "loser", too? Heaven forbid we bring in the "losers" like John Barrymore, Spencer Tracy, the list goes long. What the Academy needs to do, and one would think someone in the Academy had the brains to figure this out by now, is to extend the time for this particular segment to include all, or just not do it.
michael jackson and anna nichole all druggies who overdosed were not ignored
You'd better believe that had it been Charlie Sheen or Robert Downey Jr., the fanfare would have been off the charts, though. Corey was a talented actor who developed an addiction. His personal life/demons should have no bearing on his work as an actor, IMO. They are not glorifying his addictions, but the work that he contributed in Hollywood. Shame on these snubbers.

It doesn't matter what moronic Oscars with drunkazz Franco forgot to mention. Actors leave mark in their fans' hearts and minds. They're not forgotten:)

I happened to like the guy. He was a talented young boy who went the wrong way, and just couldnt find his way back. I love the movie Lost boys. I still watch it from time to time. Yeah, it was somewhat corny, but hey so was alot of the movies back then. Corey was taking up for a friend thats all. Why does everybody have to be so quick to judge and put down other people?

have u ever heard of google?
Then why are you reading about him MORON!
Wow. You're so cool. It's so cool not to know stuff.
Something about putting Corey in the same memorial as Dennis Hopper just doesn't sit well with me. I do believe there were other actors not included.

Yeah, cause God knows Dennis Hopper never had any issues with drugs or alcohol.
